I called TD insurance to get a quote for my second car I am going to lease. I have my home and auto insurance with TD. The guy, Jamie couldn't help me at all. Instead of asking my insurance policy number he asked lots of questions which I have no idea what the reason was for. They couldn't give me the quote. I am about to lose the deal on leasing car since I have to compare 3 cars together and I will definitely switch to another company.
They keep increasing their prices. Before I was paying 110/month then they renewed my policy with the increase of 200$ premium then they gave me 133$/month. Somehow I talked with them 2-3 times then they decreased to 127.83. I have no accidents, no tickets. But they increased my insurance premium.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
They recommended that i get this scam of a towing company over the phone and then refused to foot the $550 towing bill. We also thoght we had collision coverage because they were charging us 40% more than what statefarm quoted us for liability coverage, turns out theyre just ridiculously expensive! I mean all this money to buy a lesson, but this is the stupidest thing ive ever had to deal with. We also apprently got a 30% discount using our university, so what are the rest of you paying for this awful coverage?
I had to submit a claim where I was parallel parking, legally, using a blinker, and someone hit me from behind while I was pulling in on an enormously wide road with no other cars. TD gave me 50% fault and was threatening to bring it up to 100% when I argued. They are bullies. I read through all the rules and repeated that any instance where someone pulling into a spot is hit it is always the other person's fault. They could not give me any reason it was my fault. They said things like “the other party is refusing to accept blame”... does that mean they don’t deserve any fault? Because they refuse to accept it? TD just wants your money. They are not on your side. I argued and eventually just paid and I am planning on changing companies. I have no problems with TD banking but do yourself a favour and avoid TD insurance.
I am paying $190 per month (extra $30) for their program that when I got into a collision they will replace my vehicle with a brand new one (since my car was brand new in 2015 until now). But when I just want to claim for a Hail Damage, they want me to pay $1000 for it. I thought I had a good coverage but turns out that all the money that I paid was just a waste. Not to mention that I waited for more than an hour on hold to talk to the Claims Department agent. What a waste of money and time. I had a bad experience with TD when they screw up my Property Tax, now another bad experience with their TD insurance. NEVER AGAIN WITH TD.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I've had over 10 accidents, all non-fault. So my story begins, I have a previous accident some time before or after June 2017. I had anxiety and was currently off work due to these issues, so I get an email from my very rude advisor stating I was 100 percent at fault, when I inquired "did you get a police report" (I always call the police, especially in this case). She said "no, I didn't need to bother because his story matches with yours". I was very upset, to say the least, I told her "go get a police report before you decide without knowing the facts". Needless to say, it came back 100 percent his fault, which then I received a very unpleasant email, rude and almost snarky. I called the office and spoke to the manager with nothing in the end. Second time I claimed, which was at the end of Aug, again police involved etc. The day I pick my car up telling me again I owe 250 because of it being 50/50. We are now in November without a police report coming back, again, same rude service. Now today I had picked up my car after someone had changed lanes on November 1st, and hit me. I went in to pick it up and was told I need to pay 500. (Mind you, I called a few days before and they confirmed that the other party was at fault) I phoned them to speak to a total slob. (Which they never called me to let me know my car was ready, or, well, anything, really, during the time my car was in getting repaired.) When I inquired about what was going, I was told that they are still "looking" into it. I said the car was hit over 2 weeks ago, with no response to that. She then said "oh, the deductible is 250". Now I'm out 500 dollars with no explanation. I'll never recommend TD Insurance to anyone.
Very unprofessional when being the customer and not being listened to. The insurance rep told me that I should now let others hit me instead of being safe otherwise I’m at fault. I think after 15 years with this company it’s time to find someone who actually cares for their customers and who actually supports your side.
Very bad customer services. I called them today to change my address and the woman was yelling at me idk why and her behaviour was so bad with me and I talked to the manager and she did not do anything
I had a horrible experience with TD insurance when you leave you really never ever want to go back. They do not have the best rates. TD insurance does not do a good job in customer service because they do not explain completely everything before a new task or changing something within your account. This is why I don't find TD insurance a good company to be taking my money towards their products.
Had a house fire, they don't want to cover it. They're lazy and don't answer the texts or calls. They try to get out of every situation of spending money.
