Home insurance disaster

I ordered tenant ins for my son who is a student and was paying for it. Papers arrived at my sons place and I told him to just put them aside thinking it was the policy. I received a call that they were cutting the claim because I did not pay it. They had me pay the bill and then cut the insurance. I had explained that it was to be debited from my account like my home ins was already. The broker said I had no proof of that via e-mail, but we had spoke on the phone. I am done with them and would never recommend them or the broker Mr. John Coirazza!
I paid the insurance
I am a client with them since 20 years
Then, I was told that my roof was too old: 32 years vs. not insured when more than 25 years.
Come on, La Capitale should have warned me every year since 7 years about this internal policy!!!
I asked a delay to find a good roof-making company as I want a green roof, and we are already mid-summer. I asked an inspection that concluded (roof acceptable).
La Capitale did not want to give me the delay.
Next year: I will change for another insurance as I don't care for the price, but expect a good service.
Having a combined coverage (home, auto) has given us a good service and rate.
The prices of a home insurance are reasonable coupled with automobile insurance. The plans suit the customer's need with options for how much to be insured for.
Have never had a problem with quick and efficient service.

Had a sewage water flood in my basement. La capitale sends an estimator who marks down clean water. La capitale now refuses to pay for drywall, plaster and painting. We've had 3 contractors give estimates to la capitale and still la capitale refuses to pay. Worst insurance company ever. The claim has been going on for 11 months. My camping tent got soaked in the sewage water and la capitale sends it back to me and tells me they cleaned it. Who wants to sleep in a tent that was soaked in sewage water? Terrible experience. Go with any other insurance company.
