DON’T EVER BUY or HAVE A CLAIM with AMA HOME INSURANCE

A fire that took place in my building (no fault of mine) leads me to believe that I can no longer get insurance from them. They paid $26,000 to have items from one bed apartment cleaned and just over $7,000 to replace said items. It would have been less expensive to replace all items. How can a no fault claim lead to this kind of treatment it’s absolutely disgusting and disgraceful, I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS AWFUL COMPANY TO ANYONE.

My next door neighbor burned his garage down working on a vehicle (possible illegal auto shop) due to negligence. No fire extinguisher or hose to protect against a situation like this. Total loss of his structure. Resulting in major damage to my garage, my house, trash bins & fence. After waiting 4 months, AMA insurance has done nothing to address my claim or repair my damage. No communication, only that they want to close their file. If I want my property repaired I have to fork over my $1000 deductible. The loss was not my fault, OBVIOUSLY, but my premium raised immediately once notification of the loss was made (I pay monthly).
So much for my insurance company protecting me & my loss.
