The worst experience ever. After a car accident which was not my fault they treated me rude, carelessly, ignoring my phone calls, they did not keep me updated with the entire process. Markham office is a nightmare, I had to deal with the adjuster Karyn J and her manager Kristy S, who were totally ignorant, irresponsible, lacking respect, and customer service. It’s been a month since the accident and I still don’t have my car back due to their carelessness. Run away from them, you are not in the “good hands”.
Okay, so listen, my girl’s mom has been stuck at a Dillion’s parking lot for about 4 hours now. She has called multiple times to get help from her insurance company, that would be you, and hasn’t gotten any help yet. She has little ones to get Home and feed and she can’t do that now because she has to wait for your slow freaking company to go help her. I don’t know how you expect people to sign up for your insurance if you’re not going to work quickly and effectively. What an embarrassment to the insurance community.
I have been with Allstate Insurance since 1986. I have always had good service from them. For the last 20 or so years, I have had 6 cars, a utility trailer, 2 motorcycles, and 2 homes insured with Allstate. Of course, they always made sure we were aware of all the perks and discounts that we were receiving by having so many vehicles and our homeowners combined. There was never a reason to look outside of Allstate for insurance. I just figured with multiple policies, discounts, etc., that Allstate was the company for me. Boy was I wrong. I just looked into switching to Travelers insurance and I saved almost $3000/year just for the vehicles. That is unbelievable. I figured that I could save a few hundred dollars but $3000? No wonder Allstate provided us with such good service - THEY WERE RIPPING US OFF FOR OVER 20 YEARS. It really does not pay to be a loyal consumer these days. I would not recommend Allstate to anybody. Shame on you Allstate. Let the consumer beware.
It's a good thing I only had a claim for a windshield god forbid not a fire, jeez. I called my Allstate office to report a windshield claim and she gave me an 800 number which I called. After being on hold for over 15 minutes (see what I mean by just a windshield) a guy told me that their system was down and somebody would call me back. 24 hours later still no phone call return (see again what I mean by just a windshield not a fire) and with a 1000 deductible thank god I found a windshield much much cheaper which means they would not have paid a dime so Allstate kiss my behind I will pass the word around how much of a scam you are just like the other insurance companies you are insured for everything EXCEPT what happens to you.
On the day of my accident it had been raining all day and it was still raining. The highway was wet, slick, and puddles. Keep in mind I have NEVER had an automobile accident. Well, I don't remember all the aspects of my accident due to my medical injuries. All I do know is I hit a water puddle, lost traction and control of my car (a car I absolutely LOVED)
I have since been told I hit the ditch in the center median, I was able to get back on the highway, but the traction control never kicked in on my car. My car started sliding and rotating up the highway. My car left the highway and I hit a huge tree on the driver side of my car; my car actually wrapped completely around the tree. It took the paramedics almost 2 hours to cut me out of my car (I was unconscious). They had to cut my boots and clothing off to get me out of my car. As soon as the paramedics were able to load me into ambulance I was RUSHED to the only trauma unit hospital in our state. I sustained several injuries with the worst being 2, possibly 3, traumatic head injuries, contusions and hemorrhages. Allstate deemed my car a complete loss, there was no way around that but Allstate is REFUSING to pay ANY of my medical bills. I will have to see a brain neurosurgeon at least once every 2 weeks for the rest of my life. I am completely livid!!! How can a company treat someone the way Allstate is treating me?
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
The one and only time I have an at fault accident (a fender bender) and they completely deny me insurance altogether. I've been unable to get insurance quotes from other companies because of this. Buyer, beware, when the chips are down they will abandon you.
Beware. Allstate has terrible customer service and worse records. Their procedures are changeable and suited to them. Customers seem to be an inconvenience to them. Their records are not complete - neither at head office nor at their Thornhill agency. In fact, they rely on the customer to fill in the holes in their records. The staff at this office is abrupt and rude. I have been a customer with them for 5 years and have been treated badly so now I have found a much better agency.
Opened an insurance policy with Esurance and got an email 2 days later saying that they noticed I had moved out of state and would need to update the information on my policy. I had not moved anywhere, what happened is that my policy was opened in California rather than Oregon. I have never lived in California. I applied for this insurance policy with an OR drivers license, a truck registered in OR, financed through an OR credit union and a home address located in OR. After speaking to them about this problem they quoted me literally twice as much as the policy I originally signed up for. I went to cancel my policy and they tried to charge me a cancellation fee which I managed to get waived but was then billed for the 4 days I spent driving my truck around on and INVALID insurance policy. I spoke to a supervisor after cancelling who was completely unapologetic and didn't seem at all surprised that this had happened. At the end of the conversation, he blamed Google for the mishap... Poor customer service would be an understatement. This is not a trustworthy insurance company.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Horrible experience. Won't be coming back. Got in an accident on September and am barely getting my truck back and it's December and I wasn't at fault. Allstate won't back you up for anything. They just expect their payment every month while you're not even getting your rental, and basically struggling with transportation. Basically, going broke driving around my pops v8 when my car is in the shop being repaired with no rental to get me back and forth. Most inconsiderate and incompetent insurance. Put it this way, I wasn't at fault and the police report also says that I'm not, and because the person at fault doesn't want to accept responsibility for 3 MONTHS NOW the repair shop expects me to pay $542 to get my truck back. The insurance company at fault that has sapped me of my college year is pretty much Winning and I was the one rear-ended. I'm missing classes, and my scores are dropping. This company called Allstate is selfish and expects their 300 by the end of their month, but when you really need them it feels like they're hiding behind their desk. If you want to be outclassed by a low budget insurance when you get in an accident, then Allstate is for you.
I had an accident three days ago. My car was damaged. I have called them many times and talked with different people. So far no one called me back. I even have a claim number. That means I still have to wait. My life is very inconvenient without car. Here is what Montreal is. Be careful when you want to choose insurance agency.
