Insurance was applied to our motorhome on Jan 7, 2021. We sold the motorhome and cancelled the insurance on September 1. We received a letter stating the amount we would be refunded pending clearance of outstanding charges and this amount is short $102.00. This is now Oct 26, 2021, and we still have not received our money. How is this legal?
We were with Aviva Insurance for about 2 years and then this past summer when my daughter had a car accident, and we had to deal with the insurance company for our claim it was not a good experience.
Until now, 3 months later they did not contact the witness who saw the accident my daughter had to verify her version of what happened. If they did they would have realized it was not her fault, instead up until now on her file it shows that she was at fault and so we had to pay more for our insurance.
As well I contacted them like 4-5 times to get a new quote for our other car that we had to buy so we could get the insurance set up to pick up the car (as we were without a car for about 2 weeks) but after being on hold for a total of about 5-6 hours and constantly being hung up on, we left them and went to another company for our new insurance. The list goes on about our unhappiness with this insurance company and we would NEVER go back to them.
I started the insurance with RBC and become Aviva Canada
I was never involved in the accident or claim. I have received a letter from Aviva Canada for cancelling the auto insurance. I have called to find out the reason. They don't provide any reason and they said the system generated automatically!
I was told by friends that my kids approaching the age of 16 or my type 2 diabetic conditions may contribute to the risk for them.
More than 20 years of insurance with them. No help at all.
My previous insurer cancelled my policy for “non-payment” after failing to make the appropriate changes to my policy, causing payment NSF (I am still fighting to get this overturned). The best rate available was AVIVA. I signed up for a monthly policy and made my payments online BEFORE the due date to make sure no mistakes would happen again, as with the previous insurer. After 1 year with them, and ZERO LATE PAYMENTS, they are REFUSING me as a client UNLESS I pay the FULL 1 YEAR TERM IN ADVANCE!!!! Not tickets. No accidents. CZ license. 24 years of driving experience. They got every penny they were owed BEFORE it was due. And my reward is “Pay $2100 by September 5”, or take your business elsewhere. UNBELIEVABLE!
Have pain from a car accident, family doctor and all other parties recommend physiotherapy, yet they processed to send me to their doctors and prolong the inevitable process. I don’t find it fair how I pay monthly no questions asked and the one time something unfortunate actually happens they do everything in their power to save a penny at the customer's expense.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Absolutely horrible to deal with. The low rates aren’t worth the horrendous service. They take forever to reply to voicemails and emails.
I have been waiting for my insurance policy for 6 weeks! They keep saying it was sent but it never arrives, I've asked for an email copy of the full policy but for some reason, they are not sending it..... very sketchy. I will be cancelling the insurance as soon as I'm done writing this review.
Gives you a different dated policy May 24 2020 and May 24 2021 it already expired, I asked for the pink slip but the date is totally wrong, I want to get a hold of superior
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Aviva and the other insurance companies they own have the highest insurance premiums in the country. Very hard to work with.
First, they increased my payments by $30.00 monthly. The first payment was triple. When I cancelled, they charged me $221.00!
