Horrible insurance company

I recently sold my vehicle and cancelled my insurance. I was told it took 3 business days to be given a refund back to my credit card. After 3 weeks, I called to advise and they said: "oh it will be there either Monday or Friday". Now it's been over a month and still no refund!! This is MY money and with this day and age of computers, the fact that they take 6-8 weeks is utterly pathetic!! Also the fact that the girl told me 3 days is a lie. Then in order to follow up with someone, you have to wait on the phone for 30-60 minutes. BE PREPARED TO WAIT SHOULD YOU EVER EXPECT A REFUND. FUNNY THING IS IT TAKES THEM 30 SECONDS TO TAKE MONEY FROM YOU!!!
TD is by far the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Every time I call its 2 hours of me sitting on hold. There customer service reps are rude and unprofessional. They charged me for a vehicle I don't even own anymore for 4 months before getting in touch with me. I magically owe them 163 dollars to cancel my policy that I already canceled. They are criminal stay away!
I had TD car insurance for 15 months until I sold my car and went to travel. I was told I will receive my reimbursement for over within 2 weeks as a direct debit to my bank account. It has been 6 weeks so far and I have not received anything yet. The customer service is frustrating and horrible. Had to wait hours on a phone to finally to talk to a real person. I suggest avoiding this TD insurance at all costs!
I had 3 accidents. Two last year and one just about 2 weeks ago. I have switched insurance companies now. I got a phone call from where my car was being repaired. It was stated that I was showing a 500 deduction for at fault. I then call TD to inquire about such a claim and it was confirmed. So I need to pay another 500 out of pocket because they say I rear-ended him. Now almost 10 am and 1 claims adjuster. Done. Glad I switched
TD Insurance takes advantage of the little guys. Auto accident with the at-fault driver admitting fault at the scene. Also unbiased witnesses on scene and 1st responders, by chance on location, as witnesses too. Police Charged TD Insurance driver but after 1 year TD Insurance has failed to repair nor pay out the victim ( the other driver). The victim had a green light going straight thru an intersection but was T-boned by TD Insurance Driver who failed to yield to oncoming traffic and made an unsafe left turn plowing into an innocent driver.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
They recommended that i get this scam of a towing company over the phone and then refused to foot the $550 towing bill. We also thoght we had collision coverage because they were charging us 40% more than what statefarm quoted us for liability coverage, turns out theyre just ridiculously expensive! I mean all this money to buy a lesson, but this is the stupidest thing ive ever had to deal with. We also apprently got a 30% discount using our university, so what are the rest of you paying for this awful coverage?
I am paying $190 per month (extra $30) for their program that when I got into a collision they will replace my vehicle with a brand new one (since my car was brand new in 2015 until now). But when I just want to claim for a Hail Damage, they want me to pay $1000 for it. I thought I had a good coverage but turns out that all the money that I paid was just a waste. Not to mention that I waited for more than an hour on hold to talk to the Claims Department agent. What a waste of money and time. I had a bad experience with TD when they screw up my Property Tax, now another bad experience with their TD insurance. NEVER AGAIN WITH TD.
I've had over 10 accidents, all non-fault. So my story begins, I have a previous accident some time before or after June 2017. I had anxiety and was currently off work due to these issues, so I get an email from my very rude advisor stating I was 100 percent at fault, when I inquired "did you get a police report" (I always call the police, especially in this case). She said "no, I didn't need to bother because his story matches with yours". I was very upset, to say the least, I told her "go get a police report before you decide without knowing the facts". Needless to say, it came back 100 percent his fault, which then I received a very unpleasant email, rude and almost snarky. I called the office and spoke to the manager with nothing in the end. Second time I claimed, which was at the end of Aug, again police involved etc. The day I pick my car up telling me again I owe 250 because of it being 50/50. We are now in November without a police report coming back, again, same rude service. Now today I had picked up my car after someone had changed lanes on November 1st, and hit me. I went in to pick it up and was told I need to pay 500. (Mind you, I called a few days before and they confirmed that the other party was at fault) I phoned them to speak to a total slob. (Which they never called me to let me know my car was ready, or, well, anything, really, during the time my car was in getting repaired.) When I inquired about what was going, I was told that they are still "looking" into it. I said the car was hit over 2 weeks ago, with no response to that. She then said "oh, the deductible is 250". Now I'm out 500 dollars with no explanation. I'll never recommend TD Insurance to anyone.
I had an accident a year ago. I was rear-ended. The emergency services recommended that I pull to the side due to safety (which I told my TD adjuster and she said "I hate it when they do that"). I didn't feel safe at the location of the accident since it was a major highway. #1) No sympathy or understanding from the adjuster. Then, it was clear that I was hit from behind, the guy was tailgating and didn't have enough space to avoid me when I had to stop due to the car in front. How am I at fault when I was the one hit? You go and talk to their adjuster. I had to pay 50/50. #2) My adjuster never came to look at my vehicle. The other party's adjuster did, for damage estimation purpose. #3) My adjuster looked for faults in my statement and even yelled back at me. I was frustrated with the situation and obviously it was voiced through my tone. You'd think she would be professional about it. #4) I find out from the other party's adjuster that it was to be settled through 50/50, me holding half the fault. I asked if they could access road cameras or dash cams to view the evidence since the other party hit me at a major exit/highway location. Obviously, they said no. #5) The other party is also with TD Insurance, which makes me wonder if the company did not do this just to profit themselves since now I have an at-fault record and will have to stay with them if I don't want to pay double my premium with other companies for at least 5 years.

I was with TD insurance for 16 years and I'd give them a negative review if I could. I have never made a claim or had an accident. I moved to an extremely small town a few months ago and they doubled my renter's insurance premium. They made the claim that there must be a lot of crime in the area. So I went from $30 to $60 a month. I called around for quotes and was getting them in the $15 to $20 a month range, so I cancelled and they decided to raise my auto insurance from $115 to $155. I got quotes for $80 to $100 a month elsewhere, so I cancelled everything with them. Now they owe me a refund and will only tell me that I will get it back sometime in the future. They won't even give me a date. You have to sit on the phone for hours trying to get through to someone. Absolutely horrible customer service.
