In the summer of 2016, my car was hit while parked in the lot for my apartment complex. The vehicle left the scene, but a witness in my building was able to identify it at the time and the vehicle returned nearby where I was able to get pictures, show the police and file a full report. The claim went off so smoothly to the point I could barely believe it. I was deemed not at fault, had a very nice rental vehicle (covered) for the three weeks my car was being worked on (considerable damage to the rear of the car). The only complaint I had was there were some delays and those were not communicated to me and I had to keep calling back to ask why it still wasn't ready. The adjuster was friendly, everyone I interacted with was friendly, and at the end of the day, I didn't pay a penny. Very happy with the experience and the quality of work.
I compared many rates but TD Insurance had the lowest one for my age and driving experience. All other providers were significantly more expensive. Their callcenter folks are quite knowledgable and explained me all the coverage details.
I also had some claim experience with them when that old gentlemen T-boned my car in the downtown of Toronto. TD Insurance agent was not very helpful on the phone, but the whole claim process went quite smooth: I got comparable rental car for 4 weeks until my car was fixed. My rates did not go up since I was not at fault. So I am quite happy with TD Insurance so far. Meanwhile their rates started climbing a bit every year though...

I am in the process of a claim with TD right now and have to say my experience has been wonderful. They arranged for a tow truck and got me into a rental vehicle very quickly, made things as fast and painless as possible. I, really, get the feeling from all of the people I’ve dealt with that they are trying to help me as much as they can and care about me as an individual and not just as another number on their computer screen. My adjuster has responded quickly and clearly to all of my questions, emails and phone calls. I rated 4 stars for the money value only because I’m not sure on how my rates will increase once this claim is finished, that being said I’m paying 150 a month for insurance on an SUV as a young driver, that covers me for my rental vehicle, liability, tow truck, etc... I am very pleased with the customer service. 10/10 would recommend TD insurance for your automobile.
