I've been with this joke of a company for about a year now and regret it every day. They take payments on random days with different amounts every time mind you. Then send a cancellation letter. I have to call them at least 4 times a month because of the amount of incompetence!!! Staff not knowing what they are doing and make up a bunch of excuses on why the payments changed and the amount. My insurance was 189 a month next month they try and take out 400!? Then tell me it's my fault because I did not use my advantage app which was never given to me from the beginning. That's just the icing on the cake this company will make you look like you don't pay your bills on time and have faulty payments. Stay far away!!!
Please be aware that from an experience in a recent auto claim, it appears that TD will keep their commitment to one-time accident forgiveness, but will make up for it immediately by raising the home insurance portion of the bundle because they know one cannot go and get a better rate after an accident claim. I know this for a fact because I caught them on this fact, as I had the claim changed from my fault to no fault, and their computers did not get wind of this and raised my home insurance by 30% with nothing to justify that it should have been raised 30%. They were then willing to drop the home rate by 25% when I went shopping around and got home rates 30% lower. There is no accident forgiveness here, they will just make it up on the home portion, because they know they can, since the customer has no chance of getting a better home/auto rate after a recent at-fault accident.

As if waiting to get his license during COVID wasn’t enough, I’ve been trying to get thru to TD Insurance for 4 days now with wait times being impossible! I stayed on the phone 3 times for over an hour and a half with the most annoying music and no person before I finally hung up. Several more times trying and waiting over 45 mins before hanging out. I tried online to add him to my insurance but still no luck. Incredibly frustrating for both myself and my son who can’t drive after waiting over a year to get his license!
As the owner of a body shop for over 40 years, this has got to be the absolute worst experience I've had dealing with an insurance company. An adjuster who has an outdated voicemail message on his machine and doesn't return calls, an imaging desk you cannot reach because their mailbox is full, a claims department you cannot reach, and an operator who is not there and that mailbox is full as well. What a GONG SHOW!!! It's a pretty sad way to run a business.
My claim has been open for two weeks and there has been no progress at all. Even getting the adjuster to communicate with me has been awful.
We will be changing our insurance company as soon as this is all over, and I will never EVER go with TD Insurance again.

2 hour plus wait time on the phone. Very painful! Over 2 hours on hold listening to the same song over and over again. TD obviously does not respect their clients time. Switching ASAP.
I’ve had TD Meloche Monnex for over 20 years. They used to be good and I could get through on the phone fairly quickly. I just had a windshield claim. I told them I didn’t know when the windshield was hit but the crack showed up in the winter. He told me he needed a date so I said ok I estimate this day last summer was maybe when the stone hit. But we didn’t see anything till winter. It was just an estimate. So then he tells me that it’s more than a year so the claim is invalid. So then I said ok I should change the date because it showed up in Dec, not the summer. He said I couldn’t change the date and he put me through to customer service.
They said I had to talk to the glass claims and they put me back. This took another 40 minutes of waiting on the phone. In total, I waited 1.5 hours to talk to the first person and was on the phone for almost 3 hours. I listened to the same piano music played over and over at least 140 times.
I will be changing companies ASAP.
I have called 4 times to cancel due to wait times. App DOES NOT WORK, even after 3 calls to IT support. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
I have been with TD for more than 15 years.
Every year I thought it will get better next year but I think I was dreaming. I guess enough is enough. Very poor customer service. The staff is the script reader and has no focus on customer's needs. Long long wait times. Very frustrating.
I will never recommend this provider to anyone.
Moved houses on July 11/2021 it is now Aug 04, still have not received a permanent pink card with the proper address. 3 customer service calls and the last conversation with a manager. I asked the manager why should I pay for terrible customer service and high rates. Why should I keep my business here? I was told if you are not happy with our services feel free to leave. That's how managers at TD resolve issues. Take your money every month and leave you on hold for hours at a time. I will be moving my business immediately.
