Worst insurance company EVER

Last year I had an accident. It was my fault... I owned it and received a careless. 2nd accident in my life... I'm 52. Today an agent called me saying they will no longer give me insurance because of the careless. What??? Couldn't believe what I was hearing. I cancelled my auto and home insurance as of the end of July. Worst insurance company EVER. I wouldn't suggest going with this company because if you ever make a mistake (life happens) they will drop you like a hot potato. I'm actually disgusted with TD.

Policy Renewal without consent from Client

My Auto policy was renewed by TD during midterm without any prior notification/communication to me. And Policy amount was increased by 25% again without any prior communication/notification. When I saw an updated monthly charge on my account, I reached out to TD and they said they tried to call me once and I was not reachable so they went ahead with the increase. I filed a complaint with TD and even after 3 months, they have not been able to provide me with any reason why I was not informed about changes to my policy. Very horrible service, never ever going back to TD for any service.

TD auto insurance is a scam. They give you online quotes and say you save 5% if you get online quotes but when you call the price is substantially different. They also add installment fees. Unresponsive to complaints and their shady business practices. Avoid at all costs. You are better off getting your auto insurance at any other institution. They are fraudsters.

Worse than 1 star

I changed to TD insurance and my family also. Come renewal, no accidents. No claims. No tickets it is a grand higher for 0 reason. Decide to cancel for obvious reasons. Spend an hour on phone to get a quote to cancel. Call back to actually cancel now 3x the cost. They are ridiculous. Getting rid of them no matter the cost. Do NOT get them. Cheap year one, kill you on renewal!!! Beware

I've been waiting for over a year for TD claims adjuster to contact my adjuster. I have been trying for a month to connect with the TD claims adjuster and nothing! I have escalated my situation, but nothing! I have tried getting in touch with his managers and surprise, nothing! Getting fed up with TD! They admitted fault 6 months ago but I have been ghosted thru the entire process!
I don’t recommend TD insurance for anyone!!! Two thumbs down!

Adjuster Adam B is brutal

We had recently put through a claim on our auto insurance policy for a not-at-fault accident. To say our experience with TD Insurance has been a nightmare is an understatement. Our adjuster Adam refused to answer phone calls, ignored emails for days, lied about sending out a payout check and even went against TD's own policy. We will 100% be switching insurance providers immediately and I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay far away from TD Insurance. Insurance is affordable however it's when you put in a claim that the nightmare begins.

Getting Policies Together

I wanted all 3 insurances with 1 company and being a TD client I applied online and got my policies going. When I called to see where my policy was online I could not find it. They could not find it and would call back. I went through this numerous times. No problem taking your money, 5 stars for that. I was told all policies would be in one convenient place online, right. I have my house insurance but the other day when I called about my truck insurance and why it is not with my house policy I was told it could not be done. Phone calls, emails, just get one nowhere but I will never go paperless again. They all just want your money....

Tired of Dealing with unknowledgable East Indians

I wish a person could just call the New Brunswick office. Always a great experience when dealing with people who understand English. I am tired of dropped calls from East Indians. Unknowledgable employees from Ontario. Just spent 50 minutes dealing with someone who had no idea what they were doing. Gave up. Hopefully my call tomorrow goes thru to New Brunswick. Also, the new phone system is terrible.

I'm trying to take care of the insurance for my elderly mother with dementia. After a very stressful experience for her with customer service, I was finally able to get her car and house insurance renewed.
Fast forward a month, and I look through all the documentation they sent and there's NO PINK SLIP for the vehicle.
I call back to ask them to send it. I wasted nearly 30 minutes fighting with their phone "screening" system, which can't understand words, gives endless instructions that can't be cut short, and once even hung up on me. I finally get someone who is so concerned with "security" that he can't simply send out the missing pink slips, he has to put me on hold to talk with someone. Seconds later, someone else picks up the call as though it were newly started. I explain I'm waiting. He puts me back on hold. Then I get someone talking over what sounds like his own voice mail who says something about "must have been cut off" and again wants to start from scratch.
Security? Not even security theatre! Easily one of the most pathetic excuses for customer service I've dealt with. Ever.
Incompetence. Terrible system. Lousy customer service. EXTREMELY lousy customer service.
And still no pink slip.
So, because of TD Insurance's own screw-up, I'm going to have to let their "customer service" torment my mother again on the weekend.
Thanks for nothing.
