NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I recently bought home insurance and wanted to add car insurance. I could not get anyone on phone - tried for a week - endless wait-times, no way to ask for call-back. There is no way that they would ever treat an actual claim in a timely manner. WORST CUSTOMER CALL EXPERIENCE EVER.

Worst service ever!

I have both home and auto. I have questions and have tried multiple times to reach them by phone (leave it on speaker so I can continue with activities) and eventually give up. They have sent me two identical invoices for my home and have raised my auto insurance. One is due tomorrow and another due next month. Do they have any employees at all? I would give them a zero!

Waiting on hold

Been with TD for a very long time - two cars, two homes. Rates are not bad but the service has really gone downhill. Waiting on a call for 2 hours - now how is this related to COVID. You do not have phone agents working from home? This is a way for the company to reduce staff costs and blame it on COVID - profit-driven. Terrible

If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.

Worst Customer Service

I have been using TD insurance for the car for many many years now. Recently, their Customer Service has become so awful that it is almost like a nightmare. The only reason I am not taking out the business to somewhere else is the fear of talking to the Customer Service for cancellation. I would get my courage and TIME (wait for an hour with few call drops) to cancel with them. This is so ridiculous and unacceptable...

Take off work to call them

I bought insurance for both my cars. I was happy with the price and everything. Recently I sold one of my cars as it was not suiting me anymore. Have been trying to reach them on phone for 2 and a half hours now. Waiting and waiting. I have tried that before and usually, it takes ages to get connected. So I thought whatever I will just leave it as I have no time to deal with it until I buy my next car. So I wanted to experiment. I called them on my wife’s phone and it kept going and going for an hour. So I switched to my phone and did an insurance quote and stated I would like to be called later on to buy my insurance. Before I could close the internet tab I got called. Obviously, the connection interrupted and nobody tried calling me again. So I thought whatever. Dissatisfied with customer service as nobody gives a damn about paying customers but only new potential customers.

Horrible Customer Service

I have been with TD for many years. I have multiple cars and motorcycle insurance with them. Up till last year, I had my house insurance with them. They have decent rates and the best rates for my motorcycle that I have ever been able to find. The biggest reason I have given them only two stars is their customer service. It is absolutely unacceptable. I have spent multiple hours on hold with this company. Everyone has things to do in their life. We have careers, families, and all kinds of other things in life to take care of. Waiting on hold for hours at a time is completely unacceptable. Adopt a callback feature so people can go about their daily lives. We get it... you're busy. So are we. Get your act together soon or I am out. Too much time wasted listening to the same song playing over and over again.

Horrible wait times

Every time I call TD I am put in line and have to hold for over two hours for someone to finally be able to help me! Even after you get a customer service representative to help you they take forever to figure out what is actually going on and end up putting you on hold for another hour or so! Extremely annoying

Terrible Service

I purchased a new vehicle and have been waiting on hold for almost two hours this is ridiculous!!! I was already considering getting quotes for other companies, now I will for sure! Will have a new insurance company very soon! Terrible, terrible service!!!

Horrible Wait Times

I've tried on 4 different occasions in 2 months to connect. I've waited over 2.5 hours each time and have not been able to get through. Good thing my inquiry is not urgent. The message says that due to current call volume... That's not true... How can CURRENT call volume be over 2 months. They need more service agents. People are out of work due to COVID... How about hiring more call agents?

Absolutely Horrendous

Long time customer (20 years +) and I have never seen the call-in wait times as I have seen in the last few months. They have always been a call away and with no wait times. Now that we have COVID they are laying the blame on wait times on this virus which they have the exact same protocol in a palace. Please hire more people so that you can manage the phone calls coming in, in a timely manner. Nobody should be waiting more than 10 minutes. Clean up your act TD! Once again I’m waiting on the phone and it’s been longer than two hours. Clean up your act TD or you will lose most of your clientele.
