I had a great experience with agent, he worked hard to get me the best deal and helped to met my schedule and need! He explained things perfectly aswell and I got a great deal!
YOU WILL BE INFLUENCED BY THEIR SALES REPRESENTATIVES TO REGISTER WITH THEIR SERVICES as they might be a little bit more competitive prices than other auto insurances. This is what has happened to me. I regret it big times for not viewing the reviews here. I offer pre-authorized payments 6 weeks prior to the end of my auto insurance. I contact the customer representatives 3 times and I declared to them that I do not wish to renew my auto insurance. They ignored me and they kept withdrawing their monthly payment from my bank account. So the last month, I contact my bank and put a STOP payment. Belairdirect has charged me $40 banking fees plus taxes. Now I am escalating this issue to the consumer alert at CTV NEWS. It is probably the worst auto insurance in the country! All they care about is obtaining your money.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
My signup experience was pleasant and the lady that attended to me was patient and very helpful.
No communication with the client and liars about when it will be finished. Won't even tell me where the car is. I am so discouraged about the whole process.
My husband's car was vandalized in the parking lot almost 3 weeks ago we have no car and they told us that their appraiser team was a week behind then told us on Thursday, June 29 or Friday, June 30 that an appraiser will be going to our shop on Tuesday, July 4th but now spoke to my husband today and told him that an appraiser was just signed to us. If you’re looking for an insurance company do not come to this one!
I tried to follow up on my application or the policy but it took me how many weeks to get an update. They don’t care about the application and they let their customer hang. Very poor service and communication
I was talking to an agent named Chander and was treated poorly by him. I was inquiring about my insurance renewal and he told me that inflation affects rates but I said, we the customers are also affected by inflation but how can you, Belair, help us with it? He said he didn’t appreciate talking to me. I think that it is valid for customers to ask questions out of curiosity but maybe due to the lack of his knowledge or training, he could not provide me with a sufficient answer. I was very disappointed and hung up immediately. This isn’t the first time this is happening. I’ve dealt with this many times and it surprises me because I have multi-car and home insurance and have been with Belair for 4-5 years. There are so many gaps in the service they provide to customers, sometimes that the calls last for about 2 hours because they don’t know what to do.
The worst car insurance company, the worst adjuster! She never answers emails and calls. Each customer representative gives different information...
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Belair insurance is terrible. I have been a loyal customer for 10+ years. My vehicle just got wrecked three and a half weeks ago by someone blowing a stop sign. They have been rude, uncaring, and unhelpful throughout this whole process. My adjuster did not even call me after the accident, they did not want to give me a rental and left me stranded for a ride a week and a half before I had to call them and fight to get one. They then sent me a lowball offer on my vehicle and tried to get me out of that rental within two days. My adjuster then did not tell me there was a delay in my settlement dispute for a week which led to me having to call them and demand to speak to my adjuster and a manager. I had previously sent all the receipts of the work done to the vehicle to them like they asked which equaled out to four thousand dollars. The adjuster called me and was super unhelpful as they have been unprofessional and unresponsive the whole time. The manager was great and really seemed eager to help get the claim moving to offer fair solutions like giving me back the rental they demanded back after offering me the settlement offer. They then sent me another lowball offer trying to shortchange me three thousand dollars only offering a thousand more for the four thousand dollars worth of work I had just put into the vehicle. The manager tried to call me during the day but I missed the call because I was in a dead zone and they expect you to just be okay with spending hours on the phone at work while your boss is wondering what you are doing. I called later that day asking to speak to the manager again and got told they would call me again in twenty-four hours further disrupting my work because they clearly do not care. I am supposed to get a call from the manager tomorrow and hope to get a fair resolution but I am not banking on it with how I have been treated this whole time. Definitely will be switching insurance companies as they have made me feel like a criminal.

I would never recommend belairdirect to anyone looking for insurance. I wanted to cancel my auto renewal which went from $1400 to $2400 a year. But 12:01 on the renewal date was early this morning so they want to charge me $256.00 to cancel a policy I did not renew. Hard to believe that an insurance company we have had for years, no moving violations and no accidents could actually almost double our insurance renewal and then without our consent [or payment] renew it and then have the audacity to change us for a cancellation roughly 12 hours after the effective date. We will be changing our home insurance a week before our due date to ensure we have nothing more to do with them.
