Awful company

Terrible customer service. The woman who answered my call had a strong accent, I myself learned English not so long ago, so I asked her to speak slowly because I could not understand her words. She immediately hung up the phone.
Was a client for Dejardin for 10 years, No claims, no tickets, nothing. After 10 years I received a call from them saying they would like to verify my information on file. I said sure. So they sent me a booklet for a new application. I called and stated I am not a new client and more than happy to confirm information on file but not filling out a new client form. Im not a new client. They insisted. I went to my local dejardin broker in town and she was puzzled why they would do that. Then Dejardin sent me a letter saying that since I did not fill out the form in the less than a week provided, they would be cancelling my insurance in 3 months (for ZERO reason.) So I took my info and went to another company that offered me a very good rate and lots of bonus perks. I am now happy and wrote this review to let people know THERE IS NO LOYALTY TO CUSTOMERS FROM DEJARDIN. FIND ANOTHER.

Canceled my service without warning. Found out after driving around with no insurance for 1 month. Worst insurance company of all time.
This company will take your money, lie to you and deny lying .
The agents are insanely unprofessional they are only nice when they are selling you the insurance after that ….Good luck 🍀
I paid to get my car detailed, I have leather heated seats throughout. A few days after I got my car cleaned I went away in vacation and left my car in my dry underground parking garage for a few weeks. I came back to the worst mold infestation I and several other detailing companies have ever seen. Mold was on the steering wheel the side panelling of the door the seatbelts u name it. Obviously this was the fault of the detailer who must have used a compromised rag in my vehicle. I reported it to them, they dismissed my claim and didn’t go after the insurance of the shop instead told me take it to small claims this is why we pay for car insurance in this country for absolutely no reason we are being held hostage. We pay hundreds each month and they get to pick and choose when they help.
I had another claim where I was victim of hit and run and also struck directly by the driver as I was trying to take picture of their plate which I did get as well as make and model. The police were involved collision reporting informed of a site the insurance company could use to get the insurance details of the offending driver they refused to do so and I was left paying the deductible even thought there is a detective assigned to the case b/c of the damage and the assault. This is the help you get, you’re left paying they don’t investigate or seek justice for their customers they just take thousands from u each year and u never have peace of mind with having them as your broker. Run away!!!
I was reared and it was obviously not my fault. They classified me a minor injury claim and I needed more treatment after my treatment plan expired. I was still in pain and they denied me claim. Instead they hired a private investigator follow me and watch my house. They intentionally prolonged my suffering!
Desjardins gave me an insurance for $180/month, after everything is done, they told me $199/month and said u have to download our ajusto app. What a scam company!!!
Their customer service is horrible. They lowball. The agent that I was dealing with was terrible. Did not respond to any emails. I would not recommend them.
Very humiliating experience to try to get car insurance while talking on the phone with their staff. They grilled me so hard for working online and having my own company. I have called for needing insurance for my car because I need a car for personal reasons... Grocery, visit friends. The woman on the phone even asked me super personal questions as I was polite to apologize about the background noise for being in the hospital... She asked me why I'm in the hospital and I told her it is personal. She was very rude and even said "well this is a personal policy"... She accused me of even renting out where I live and that the utility bill is not proof enough for her, I almost wanted to just tell her "well do you want to check my Instagram for my life updates to believe I actually moved into my residential address?" This is completely humiliating. Entrepreneurs need cars to see family, to live like human beings, I don't do deliveries, I work ONLINE, I barely leave the house... And she even told me "well just make sure you don't go to the post office". Well, I'm sure every Canadian citizen has the right to go to the post office, it is a right to send mail to family, to return items, have you never shopped online and needed to return something? It is just plainly none of their business. So, I went with another company. I felt completely humiliated that I even had to tell her that I'm sick at the hospital so she can believe me as to why I was at a hospital. I felt like I was being accused for being a liar the whole time... For 3 days I was with different people on the phone, if you don't want to insure me just say so, don't waste my time and don't humiliate me. This is not a good company.

I will never recommend this place to anyone. They have messed up account information, and over charged.
We had to put a claim through, they took forever to send the money for the totalled vehicle. They also refused a loaner vehicle for the several weeks it took for them to send the cheque, even though that was something we were paying for.
When you have to leave this company because you can’t afford it anymore, they will charge you.
