They have no contact with you unless you have a claim. They call back pretty quick though.
Don't really have anything to do with insurer directly. I only deal with my agent. We did have a claim and they were helpful and easy to deal with.

Good product and service price not as good as my new insurer
Water backup on roof creating leak into bedroom. Called agent and within 1 1/2 hours crew was there and were able to remove ice from roof and stop water flow. Checked for wetness in carpet asked about health issues asthma. When it was answered in the affirmative they put a tester to the carpet and were able to determine that it was an issue, removed it put in dryers. They said that they would be back the next day and they were. The agent said that we could go to a hotel but we were able to use a hide a bed instead. The whole situation was completely resolved in a week.
