I have been insured for many years by Belair. The only real expereince I have us renewing the policy each year. The rates go up but by reasonable amounts so I haven't been motivated to shop around. Thankfully I have had no claims experience.
Basement flood 5 yrs ago resulted in $50,000 claim. It took only 2 phone calls and 1 visit to complete and receive settlement.
This company provides me with all my insurance needs (home & auto). They give me a discount for having more than one service with them, and that lowers my overall insurance costs. Even without the discount, their rates were the best on the market for the coverage I receive. Although I have never had a claim for my home insurance, I have dealt with them for a claim on my car insurance. They were gracious, and effective.
