Changing address will change your policy to premium. Even you want to cancel your policy, they will charge you a lot or delay the process just to increase your charge!

They are absolutely the worst insurance company. So glad i left them.
1) They literally stole from me and acted like it was no big deal that they were charging me the wrong amount.
2) my bank account got compromised and instead of reminding me that my last payment didn’t go through Because i had changed my card, they added more fees and took HUGE amounts of money to restore my insurance.
Trust me and avoid at all costs. Their average wait time for any help is approximately an hour.

I was charged more money than what was quoted and also without my consent.

The quote given and agreed upon was not honoured.

I set up auto payment with a credit card. Forget to update the expiration date of the card. Allstate charged a $50 penalty for service fee per transaction. ( I have an auto and home with Allstate).

I emailed Allstate the day that the credit card payment was declined. Also called them right away and informed them not to worry only to have a letter to charge me $50 extra a week later.

Sweet.

I called Allstate twice and was sent in circles. I was told to email. That got no response. What they don't tell you when you get your renewal letter is... Even if you cancel in writing before the renewal date, they will still take your money and you have to wait at least two weeks to get it back! My insurance was renewed in September, got my renewal in the mail less than a month before my renewal date. I canceled right away and was told it didn't matter the payment was scheduled two months before my renewal date in July...

They give the wrong information!
Should I pay for insurance full G license for 320 dollars!!! That's insane...
I paid for 2 months 657$ and the agent told me that I will be refunded when I cancel the policy and now they ask to pay more...
Is that possible to give you zero stars? I will give you less than that... Very pessimist service!

Put me on pay 4 months in advance every 2 months, after being on a monthly plan for years! I contacted them asking “why they go ahead and decided and this plan would be acceptable to me?!” Then the response I received was “ there was a glitch and they don’t offer this kind of plan any longer!” So I paid for 4 months then I received another bill for the second part asking me to pay for additional 4 months in advance! So, I paid for the month that was due, then since they are slippery they sent back the payment via cheque citing the payment was late and they wanted me to pay for a plan that they “ no longer have!”
This is one company that I do not endorse, they are also involved in violating privacy laws!

I am 8 months with Allstate, got a quote for 1936$ signed it and received a bill for 2105$ (1)!
I changed my address before it, my advisor said - you receive a refund. However, after that, he said no refund (2)!
I asked - can I cancel my policy, how much shall I pay penalty? And advisor said around a one-month premium. I requested cancellation, he wrote me - you may lose your 4 months premium (3)
And there are more and more and more :(
I cancelled it but expect trust, not money... I was a respectful client always but when I asked the reason for such behavior, I expect the company advisor to remain respectful with me but he was not...

I called Allstate to get a monthly payment deferred, as money is tight right now during the COVID 19 pandemic. I was told to call back within 4-10 business days to process the deferral and was assured my bank account would not automatically be charged as it normally is every month. I wake up today and check my bank account to see they have charged me. That was the last bit of money I had this money just to EAT, and now I have nothing. I called them back and they said it doesn't matter what the last person told me, most likely they cannot refund the payment and even if they can it will take another 4-10 days - so I guess they’re ok with me starving for a week. Thieves!

These people are absolutely horrible to deal with. Not a single person actually cares and is willing to go above answering a phone call under the circumstances. I cancelled my policy with them and they still kept taking money out of my account for renewal. Like really? I did everything that they requested me to do and afterword they started telling me more and more about their “policy” now I’m not going to get a refund for another 15 days... I will NEVER EVER insure with them again.
