Irresponsible staff. Due to poor customer service, I cancelled my policy and they even took the money after the cancellation. Lost some money because of their mistake and they are unable to refund it yet. They are literally stealing people's hard-earned money. Allstate's stealing company. These guys are the worst. They won't pick up the call unless we ask for a new quote. Never recommend it to anyone!
Times are difficult enough right now, so when you find another broker/ a cheaper insurance price, you consider not renewing. I had paid cash for the entire year of my car insurance policy with Allstate, and just before the year ended I notified my broker's office not once but THREE times that I would not be renewing. Every time I told them I got more upset saying, what don't you understand? Anyways, I recently got a call from a damn collection agency, saying ALLSTATE CANADA had sent a bill for something like $140.00+ for non-payment of Admin fees!! Are you joking? ADMIN FEES because I left after the end of my policy?!!? That is criminal & it really ticked me off. Allstate, you are crooks trying to swindle extra money from clients, & even worse when people are struggling financially right now due to Covid. SHAME ON YOU

I've been with Allstate for a few years. They cancelled my account and told me I need to pay double for one month. Called many times to speak with different agents and all were just saying LIES! They tried to get my new card info and told me I won't find a better deal anywhere else. Hahaha, don't worry about that because I got a much better deal 200 dollars cheaper! Thank you for your time!
These people are absolutely horrible to deal with. Not a single person actually cares and is willing to go above answering a phone call under the circumstances. I cancelled my policy with them and they still kept taking money out of my account for renewal. Like really? I did everything that they requested me to do and afterword they started telling me more and more about their “policy” now I’m not going to get a refund for another 15 days... I will NEVER EVER insure with them again.
I had auto insurance with Allstate for 2 years, but for this year the amount that they offered me increased, can you guess how much? More than 55%!? And I asked why? They said because accidents in the city increased! I said why should I pay more I had no accident, they said this is our policy! Finally, I changed my insurance company, now I'm more satisfied, and I left them alone with their policy!

10-year customers. Constant increases over the years. Explanations that they don't set rates, the industry does. We were lazy for years in looking elsewhere but this year our car and home rates were insane. Able to save $1200/year elsewhere! I called our local office to cancel. I went to that office the same day, signed forms. Put a stop payment through our bank on the day our premiums go out...just in case... (because it's an insurance company, right?)... they decided to wait a day and took out our premiums. So brutal. We called the bank just now. They said that the will reverse it, as we put a stop payment. Bank agent says sometimes, the insurance companies will change payee information when they're blocked in order to circumvent stop payment orders! Beware, folks. Wow.
I had a vehicle collision and reported the accident to them later that day. I was told an adjuster would be in touch with me to settle further details. Over a week passed w/o any communication from their end, and I finally decided to follow up. I was told by a new agent that some claim statements had been lost and mine was likely one of them. Lost? Just like that, I suppose... I had to go through the reporting process again, and both times the agents were rude, far too casual, and unapologetic for any of their mistakes. When you try to explain your situation, they constantly interrupt you, making for a really obnoxious experience. I've been with them for just over 4 months, and already I've had 4 different account agents who have stepped in because their turn over is so high. I'm waiting until this claim is handled, and then I'm IMMEDIATELY switching to a different insurance company. Allstate does not inspire any trust whatsoever.
Dealing with Allstate has been an unacceptable experience, They are terrible over the phone, pass the buck time and time again, Even though my house has been insured with them for years they can never find my policy with the address. After cancellation, they still removed money from my account, then sent me a notice saying I owe them a cancellation fee... We have just switched insurers and I am absolutely relieved.
I was badly advised. After 10 months I found out that I was not covered for my car even if the rep said yes you are ok!!! I cancelled and was refunded last month for the house, but not for the car. I contacted them twice and said it will be done soon. Then I got a renewal contract! I called back saying both were cancelled same time so should not have been renewed and also should be refunded. 4 months and nothing yet.
Worst experience!
I returned my lease, got a new car and switched insurance companies. Not only did Allstate continue to take monthly payments from me, they never cancelled my policy. I called, and the representative said I had to show proof that I returned my car (never ever have I heard of this, it usually takes a verbal confirmation and that’s it), so I had to find this document, and send it to customer support at Allstate.com and explain what happened a second time.
I receive a confirmation email and didn’t hear from them afterwards. I sent a 2nd email asking if my file was closed and still didn’t hear anything so I decided to call back. Another representative took more notes of my file and said that it would be taken care of shortly. I finally receive another email confirmation, but they took ANOTHER PAYMENT from me. I emailed another time saying express my frustration ESPECIALLY SINCE THE HOLIDAYS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER and I received an email saying “your case is being treated”. They open in 43 mins, and I’m going to call back and complain and waste my time some more. I hate my experience with Allstate and I do not recommend it.
