Very Poor Customer Service.

I had an accident 2 weeks ago. No one reached out to me for the first 6 days. After they reached me, estimates and appraiser is missing. Car is lying at workshop where no one cares, in spite of multiple calls and reminders. No response yet. This is the worst customer experience you can imagine.

Worse customer service

Worse customer service. The adjusters are not picking up their phone and not even calling back for any updates. You need to invest blood and sweat to contact them.

Extremely Unprofessional and Frustrating Experience

by suresh Heralall on Dec 10, 2024

Three months ago, I was rear-ended at a yield sign in Mississauga. When I took my vehicle in for repairs, the insurance company insisted that I pay the deductible, despite the accident not being my fault. Then, they only agreed to pay half of the repair costs as quoted by the body shop. To make matters worse, I had a car seat and stroller in the vehicle at the time of the accident, and I’m still waiting for a replacement three months later.

My adjuster has been incredibly unprofessional and unreliable. For months, I've been asked the same questions repeatedly, and it takes her two weeks to respond to emails, if at all. I’ve had to call multiple times just to get basic updates. However, when it comes to collecting my monthly payments, they are always on time.

This company does not even deserve one star. Extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service.

Stay away

Horrible experience. Once they have your money, that’s it, you can’t get anyone on the phone or email. Do not go with them. Also wasn’t offered accident forgiveness like with other companies, and my insurance went up seventy percent over a parking lot accident with no investigation done at all.

Never the same answer

In just over a month, I have talked to 4 different agents who told me 4 different prices for the three vehicles that I own and share with my children. It’s absolutely outrageous that this can be happening. Not only are they telling me different prices, but they are also not honoring what they say. I’ve had no paperwork in over a month, the app info is always wrong and after having added a third car, they have just withdrawn $1405 for one month. My 18-year-old son is paying $4265, my daughter is paying $2800, and I am paying $2028. It’s robbery and I want out. It’s a total of $9100/year. It’s like having a second mortgage to drive. I can wait to find a new insurance company who knows what they’re doing.

If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.

All state

Allstate recently renewed my insurance in July and raised the price by 1400$ for the year after a year of clean driving, no accidents or claims. I spoke to an agent to cancel my Allstate insurance before the month restart. The agent told me I will not be charged for the next month and should be getting funds back for the days I did not drive under the insurance Allstate. A week later they charged me full price "350" for the future month I attempted to call them and took about 30 minutes to start speaking to an agent. When I asked why my insurance price went up, they told me “it's because all insurance around the country went up". I asked to speak to a manager, and they told me that the manger would contact me 2-3 business day. The Allstate manager called me a week later and discuss why my price went up significantly. The manager tried finding every excuse in the book to why my insurance went up. The manager also told me there's nothing they can do for me and I will not be getting any of the 350$ I was charged for the future month and will not be getting a refund for the days I was not using them as an insurance. I've been with a little Insurance in the past and Allstate is by far the worse Insurance company and the customer service is abysmal. I would NEVER recommend anyone to ever use such a terrible company… Never use All state.

Extremely poor service

Never return calls until you leave a nasty recorded message. Just pay a late fee on scam service. Pay bill in full, then receive another for unknown reason with NO explanation. Always on hold for 30 minutes before someone picks up, pretty sure agents are working from bed. Always have an excuse for not returning calls. They got me once, but never again. Keep your distance. I wonder why people HATE insurance companies. Just glad I did not need to make a claim.

Allstate ruined my life

by FuckAllstate2016 on Aug 3, 2024

In 2016 a driver was texting, ran a red light at 65mph and hit me on my driver side. The drivers' insurance was through Allstate. Allstate reset every hearing we had for over 2 years. This cost me thousands in lost wages and even more in the growing medical debt that THEY made me accrue. Countless MRIs, CAT scans, and x-rays (each time I brought in medical docs and imagery that they requested they denied it and had me find another specialist for different docs) From what I was told by legal team, they do this when their client is 100% dead to rights liable for everything. When we finally did get in the same room, they treated me like a child. They refused to pull the driver's phone records and denied my bodily injury claim because there was no blood. They didn't take me seriously at all, instead they acted like a typical insecure man with a bruised ego. All I initially requested was for them to pay the ER bills and other medical debt, which started around 40k and grew over 180k after all the additional visits. I also asked for a new vehicle ( I didn't ask for the loss of my totaled vehicle as I was taking the honest route and utilized my gap insurance-which ended in a class action against Wells Fargo) and lastly a feasible settlement to cover the 6 weeks I lost following the wreck, the debt I accrued from reset court dates, and a negotiable amount for the future rehab and doctor visits for my lifelong injuries, until I could manage on my own. They said no, we'll give you 14k. Mind you, me and the other driver had full coverage and our min liability was 60+k. I demanded a grand jury. If anyone with at least one brain cell looked the case, they'd rule in my favor. The next time we met, they told me they spoke to the prosecutor (or whoever) and the deal was that since I demanded a grand jury they had the option to offer their minimum payout which voided my right to a trial. After about an hour of talking to brick walls in suits, they made me sign the agreement for 20~k. Luckily my lawyer reduced her fee, so I left with 18k. I was never able to pay my medical debt. I still can't afford physical therapy, doctor visits, or insurance. I used the money sparingly to keep my head over water... Then 2020 happened. I was not allowed to work, and I didn't make enough to qualify for govt compensation because of how little I made in the previous years due to battling Allstate. I'm currently working with a credit team to help reduce the 17k of debt I have. I'm only 32, the only support I have is my wife, who unfortunately has to watch me suffer through daily pain and can't do a thing about it. Allstate could have handled this with at least one modicum of morality, humanity, or logic, but instead chose to turn a 25-year-old into a broken old man. I also suffer from depression and manic bipolarism which has spiked since the accident. They took so much from me. I was a victim of an irresponsible driver, backed by a greedy company who belittled me, unnecessarily attacked me, and left me feeling stripped of my rights and freedoms. The only peace I get is knowing that the soulless people who were involved in my case will eventually get their karma. I know this review won't make any difference, but I hope that more people like me with step up and share their story. Also, next time you get in a wreck, make sure you bloody yourself up real good, or it doesn't matter.
