I go with Allstate 3y and don’t have any accident but my bill still go up every year. When I called and asked the customer service, they don’t make the good deal for me, just explaining now everything go up that why my auto insurance go up too. While another company will make the good deal for me. I think Allstate don’t need me as the customer.
They ask you to install the app to get discounts the following year but they just lie to you and rip you off. I was supposed to get 22% discount but at the renewal not only I didn’t get any discount but also they increased both my auto and home insurance 30%. I had no claim/tickets but they didn’t drop my rates. I had heard the same from other people.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Changing address will change your policy to premium. Even you want to cancel your policy, they will charge you a lot or delay the process just to increase your charge!
I recently had a disappointing experience with Allstate Insurance. Despite being a loyal customer, I encountered unwarranted price hikes with no room for negotiation when I reached out to discuss rates. The customer service wait times were exorbitant when calling, and when I finally connected with an agent, I was met with inflexibility and a suggestion to switch to a cheaper option elsewhere. It's disheartening to see a lack of respect for loyal customers and a disregard for fair pricing practices. As a result, I've decided to take my business elsewhere, as it's evident that Allstate Insurance prioritizes profit over customer satisfaction.
As a long time customer I would expect I was getting best rates. I called to discuss why I would be saving $110.00 a month on 2 cars. The lady took the call was rude and unprofesional. Asked to be transferred to a manager she said take 1 to 5 business days. You lost 3000.00 in one call.
The person who I talked to had very bad communication skills. Besides, the offers they provided were way higher than what I got from other companies.
Very difficult to get to the right person, customer service 0/10.
High Prices if you take the time to shop around
Cancelled my policy two days after signing up as I found several other options for way, waaaaay cheaper. They are charging me $225 to cancel! After 2 days!
I was told if I had called within 24 hours, they might have been able to waive the fee. But, I did call within 24 hours. Unfortunately, they clearly don't have enough staff on hand as I was on hold for over an hour and had to leave for work. So was I supposed to miss a day of work to cancel on time?
Not that I would have known about this 24-hour window. I wasn't told anything about a cancellation fee when I signed up. NOTHING. And on top of that, the paperwork and temporary pink slip they were supposed to email me was never sent to me.
So thank you TD, for robbing me of over $200 that I don't have for a made-up fee you surprise people with. Big business at it's best.
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Times are difficult enough right now, so when you find another broker/ a cheaper insurance price, you consider not renewing. I had paid cash for the entire year of my car insurance policy with Allstate, and just before the year ended I notified my broker's office not once but THREE times that I would not be renewing. Every time I told them I got more upset saying, what don't you understand? Anyways, I recently got a call from a damn collection agency, saying ALLSTATE CANADA had sent a bill for something like $140.00+ for non-payment of Admin fees!! Are you joking? ADMIN FEES because I left after the end of my policy?!!? That is criminal & it really ticked me off. Allstate, you are crooks trying to swindle extra money from clients, & even worse when people are struggling financially right now due to Covid. SHAME ON YOU
