Please don't use Intact. It's a scam. Employees are rude, unorganized, take a long time to get a response. They only pay what they want. They are too lazy to come out and look at the truck. And tried to put USED parts on a truck that was 3 years old. You are better off without insurance...

This company is a joke. The MyDrive discounts is a scam. They say 20% discount and they only give 1 fourth of it because they calculate it as they wish. !0 years of clean record, zero accidents, zero speed tickets etc and my insurance keeps going up. My car's value is 8k and I am paying half the value of the car annually for this terrible company. I tried to get rid of all comprehensive etc and it only makes 40$ difference which means they are dedicated to screw people. I got many quotes with less than 170$ and I don't have to pay double that for this scam company. Can't wait for august.

I was insured by my company with Intact Insurance, Last year someone T boned my car after bitting the stop sign. I was not at fault, they firmed my car and paid for my medical bills. Intact wrongly reported the accident on my driver's license as 50 percent at fault. I called Intact to fix the problem, they told me it shows in their system that I wasn't at fault. Why does it show up on my drivers record as 50 percent at fault and my insurance has gone up 300 percent because of their incompetence? I would advise anyone not to use Intact as their automobile insurance as they will screw you over.

Expensive insurance, when called to cancel the insurance because I've found a cheaper one they presented issues.

I have an ongoing auto claim with Intact Insurance. Their processes are super slow and I have had the worst experience ever. I am being delayed for more than 2.5 months for my total loss vehicle cheque. They didn't even pay the car rentals and they charged me $2000 on my credit card. I don't recommend anyone the get insurance from this company. They want you to die for the money that you deserve. Upon talking to the higher officers as well you get no response and no time limits. Instead, they suggest you sue the company if you want compensation for the losses you are going through.

Negative rating always. I have also asked a few of my friends to change their insurance company. No one pays to get harassed or get mental depression when you are in a bad situation already cause of the accident.

I am with a different insurance company and someone with Intact Insurance hit my parked not moved for the whole day truck! And guess what - my fuel tank is whistling my transmission is squealing and leaking fluids like crazy. All they are covering is my dents nothing more! The car that hit me was totalled off and they say it is only the dents that matter complete scam company I suggest. Everyone who has this company cancel cause I promise you if you get in an accident and you with them that they will only cover your dents that it!

My husband was parked in a parking lot with our brand new car and opened the door. Literally "touched," BARELY the car parked next to ours. The woman in that car went to the police and falsely claimed hit and run, that we had done $2000 damage etc. The police investigated and said that her claim was basically opportunistic fraud. Of course, because police were involved, the woman got our insurance information. We objected and explained what happened, submitted photos of our car, did a line -up, offered to pay for the police report, made statements, said that we would take the woman to court for a false claim. Intact informed us that the woman had supposedly had the work done already, determined that we were responsible and placed the claim against our insurance policy.

1st issue:

I was originally denied a claim even though it was not my fault, with witnesses and a police statement. It took 7 months to resolve the issues, receive money for my claim because they low balled my claim and continued to do so for months. All the while still paying a monthly premium without a vehicle tied to the policy.

2nd issue:

I had a policy under Jevco Ins. that Intact Ins. owns. Without warning, documentation, or consent on my behalf, Intact Ins switched my insurance, rose my premiums by 100% and when I inevitably cancelled the policy they hit me with a cancellation fee higher than my rate. Very unethical company.

A drunk driver hit my vehicle along with 2 others parked outside my house. This was on Friday, Dec 11th at 2:45 am. They just delay everything as long as they can and do not actually anything to help. I've been after them for 2 weeks now and finally on Tuesday, Dec 29th I get the estimate for damage done to my vehicle. They keep telling me lies and I've caught them in many of them. I write down everything, Dates/Times/Names. Now they are trying to push everything onto the junkyard my vehicle is sitting at for delays. Meanwhile, they have done nothing and don't respond when they say "we will contact you in 24-48 hours". Was 142 hours before they gave me any info. Then to talk to an adjuster they said he would call me back with their "Guaranteed callback within 4 hours" which again took 22 hours for them to contact me. The WORST company out there. Just look at all the bad reviews. They speak for themselves. Don't go with this company and save yourself the headache later in life.

I will never recommend Intact. they are a massive rip-off and will find any way possible to make more money off you when other insurances would lower payments. Their driving app as well is a major joke and made it completely impossible for you to get a good score let alone a decent discount. Plus the app always made up issues with your driving regardless of how you actually drove your car that day. Also dinged you if you answered a hands-free Bluetooth phone call or if your passenger was using your phone. If you want good affordable insurance go to another company! I switched and am now saving $100 a month on insurance and am getting more for what I was paying at Intact. Also, beware of Intact's cancellation fees it is costing me $180 on top of my last monthly payment just to cancel my account with them.
