Worst customer service ever. They always interrogate you like you've committed a crime. They accuse you of lying, even when the fault is their systems. I got a call saying the VIN number of my car was wrong. When I checked the car and the pink slip provided by them, they matched. I called them and told them so. They accused me of hacking into the system and changing it. Like what? The most retarded customer service ever
If I could give a zero rating, I would. The most run-around customer service I have ever come across. I moved across town and had to completely refill my policy information for an address change! Sure they have reasons why you need to do this, but they need my VIN, license, and all the details from my current policy filled out - they have that information right in front of them! What the double H E double hockey sticks. I'll be mailing my policy back to them at the end of my term, if not earlier. You guys are the worst! Absolute worst!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Aviva auto insurance is one of the worst insurance I have ever seen in my life. A bunch of idiots are running the insurance company. Their main aim is to ditch the customers in all aspects and always want to screw the customers keeping notes. Which they usually do. For me, they left a note in my license history that I was involved an at-fault accident. Even though I went to the court and I won the case, they didn't remove it. So when I called them and enquire about the issue, they are not willing to listen to anything and told me that they don't care about the court and they have their own policies how to suck money from the customer.
I would never anymore recommend Aviva insurance company. They are cutting down all settlements after car accident benefits and they don't care about their customers.
I had my license suspended in July 2016 because I had a stroke. My 26-year-old nephew visits sometimes and wanted to drive us to visit family about 1 hour away, so I called RBC to get a quote for my auto insurance for adding my nephew as an occasional driver. My quote was way too expensive for adding him so I said forget it. 6 months later I get a letter via registered mail Canada Post telling me that they are cancelling my policy in 2 weeks. When I called them to find out why, they said because I failed to provide my nephew's information. I told them it was only a quote that I got to add him, I never actually did. They accused me of having him drive the car without adding him on the policy so they took it upon themselves to cancel it. Real nice of them.
I was towing my Jeep on a trailer behind my motorhome. In short, the trailer tongue bar snapped in half and my Jeep which was still tied down with chains and straps to the trailer, took off and was totalled along with the remains of the trailer. Aviva agreed to pay for the trailer but not the Jeep. Luckily, the motorhome was not damaged at all. Jeep was securely attached to the trailer so this does not make sense. Adjuster here in BC was not very nice to the point of being ignorant. He avoided my calls, avoided my emails and even avoided my broker who phoned numerous times. I have been insured with these people for a few years and this is my first claim. Needless to say, I am thoroughly disgusted with this company and the people who work for them.
I had a credit card claim for a rental car. An accident which the other party has accepted he is at fault. The rental car company charged me $1000 for damage deduct. I opened a claim with Aviva and 2 weeks have passed and I cannot get a hold of anyone at Aviva to process the claim. I have sent emails to the adjuster and no luck on that yet. Terrible, terrible company.
Aviva is the worst car insurance company. These people are so unprofessional it's embarrassing. I have a 2013 BMW and these people told the body shop to put aftermarket parts on my car. After finding out they are aftermarket, I repeatedly called them and still have not received an answer! They didn't even tell me it's going to be aftermarket. This is my car, not yours, I have the right to know what will be going on with it. I pay top dollar to drive a top dollar car and he doesn't have any say on what type of parts go on my car. What are they doing in there offices if they can't answer the phone! YOU HAVE ONE JOB!!!!! It's been 3 days now and still nothing. My broker is helping me but this is the adjuster's problem, not my broker !!!
So, here's a quick summary of what happened; 1.) Beautiful sunny day outside. I'm out driving in my Audi A4. 2.) Put indicator light on to turn and get "smoked" by a big truck. 3.) The back of my A4 is crunched. Lots of damage. 3.) Lady driver is upset. She's at fault. She tells me to F off. (???) 4.) Police arrive. They write a report. I take lots of pictures. I have witnesses. 5.) I drive car home. 6.) I get a quote from a licensed Audi repair shop. 7.) Aviva tells me they won't cover the full repair. I say "you're kidding me right?" Aviva explains that they want to send me to their chosen shop (example: AAA Auto repair). I tell Aviva " I don't think so. I want a CERTIFIED Audi repair shop fixing my car. And anyways, I'm not at fault. The "lady's" insurance needs to cover the repair." 8.) I get my insurance broker involved. I stand my ground. 9.) Aviva changes their mind and they pay for the entire repair. Why did I have to go through that, especially not being at fault? When you add the headache, the waiting on the telephone to talk to someone at Aviva, I can only say " Aviva - you are the worst."
They charge me 420.00$ a month for insurance. I went to other companies for quotes and it was all in the 250.00-300.00$ mark... so I tried to cancel my insurance the day before it was set to renew (didn't know it auto-renews...), so they didn't answer and I sat on the phone for 2 hours waiting for a rep. By then I had to work, of course, they were closed for the weekend. So, Monday morning 8:30 am when they opened, I called to cancel... 308.00$ to cancel because they "insured" me for 3 days. They were rude, ignorant, and refused to send me my policy information and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Absolutely will not be recommending them or going back to them. My 7 family members will also not be renewing with them. I recommend you do the same or Don't Even start with them. Nasty, nasty "people."
