I was with Aviva for 2 years and it was all smooth sailing till another driver hit my car and I had to file a claim. It turns out all the negative reviews I saw here when I was deciding whether to sign up are true. Good luck getting an insurance adjuster to contact you, it’s been 4 days and I have heard absolutely nothing from them, meanwhile the appointment they booked me at the body shop is in one day. They have stringent business hours, so if you don’t have time in your workday to call them and beg them to do their job, you’re out of luck like I am now. The useless insurance company will be switching my insurance away once my contract is up in a couple of months.
I am fed up with Aviva Insurance! They gave me two nsfs so far by taking more money than they were supposed to take even the bank said it wasn't supposed to be that much and one time charging for two vehicles not one. Well, this morning it happened again they were taking 280 for January 1 but took 390 so it's time to fire Aviva they are the worse company and a rip off we are cancelling with them today!

These people are incompetent to the highest degree. I have had two small claims with them and both experiences were a nightmare. They shuffle paperwork and say that paper hasn't been submitted when it has. On my first claim, I had to submit 3 times. No one knows what is going on and they are sleeping on the job. My second claim was done through Fleetworks who were quick, efficient and friendly. Completed the repair and 3.5 months later Intact phones me to ask if I paid my deductible. Paper shufflers that don't want to pay their vendors.
I pity anyone that has a huge claim, it would be so stressful going through them.
Find someone else, look at the reviews, obviously, they can't handle the jobs.
After my father passed away, I brought in all the relevant documents to cancel his policy. I thought that was the end, but they kept sending me insurance quotes for someone who was dead (and they knew he was because they sent the letters to care of his estate). Then, they started collections calls. Finally, they told me I had to sign the paperwork as the executor. Once I did, they sent me a final bill because they failed to cancel the insurance on time (even though I had cancelled it six months earlier when he died). They made a difficult experience even worse. On hold for long periods, transferred to answering machines, and hung up on. Please go somewhere else for insurance.
They are very very bad at customer satisfaction and service even Aviva takes too long to approve the claim and then they gonna make you call again and again and again for claim the answer you will get is “we are looking into your file“. Even if someone got into a small crash or accident they investigate your claim like you did any serious crime... So, in The end, I am gonna suggest everyone to not insure with this company.

I do not recommend this insurance company to anyone, very horrible. They make you pay a monthly fee and can’t cover your car insurance or even rental if you get into an accident: poor service, no Value for customers satisfaction. I had the worst experience ever with this insurance.
2 adult G drivers with over 5+ years driving experience, with 2 vehicles no more than 5 years old. Tried to have me pay over $500 a month with no real explanation of why their rates were so high. No discount for multiple vehicles.
Oh and the best part, halfway through my policy, decided they don't bill monthly anymore so took double payments with no notice or customer consent. Very bad business with no accountability. Go anywhere else!
I've been going back and forth giving all the information asked, sometimes twice. The lady did not read emails properly until she was on the phone with me and said "oh I see it now".
Didn't put the people on the right vehicles, missed a name. Frustrating.
Don't waste your time with this company
It has become a nightmare for me to have Aviva as, my insurance company. They have declared me at fault in an accident without having a serious investigation. I was shocked by their customer service right from the care team to their ombudsman department. They want to penalize me for an accident that is not my fault. I don't think that's fair. Also, customer service here is at its lowest level.
I’m going through claims now and let me tell you….what a nightmare! This company is very unreasonable. Their adjusters do not return phone calls or emails. Everything involves multiple phone calls and emails to get any answers. I’m at the point I’d rather pay more for car insurance with another company than have to deal with their terrible customer service. Talk to any accident lawyer…. dealing with Aviva is one of the worst companies to deal with in the industry. Can’t wait to move on.
