Precharged for Renewal??

Well 13 years + have passed, 2 claims and I was very pleased with all the staff but I had to say goodbye (cancelled today) for home and auto, boat and travel trailer insurance. We have moved to the province of QC and Belair Direct QC is very different. I have transferred all to them except they do not cover travel trailers and there was only one that I could find to do a stand alone policy (not with the House). I would recommend the ON office to anyone and have been doing it for years. Keep up the good work!
Called Belairdirect and was able to speak to an agent IN MINUTES. Who walked me through getting a quote for the insurance. He was kind, funny, and seemed like a generally good guy.
For a mere $340 I can get FULL COVERAGE FOR DAMAGE I DO OR DONE TO ME UP TO $1,000,000!! I could ram my car into a lambo and still have money left over. And for ONLY $10 EXTRA, they will give you a RENTAL CAR if yours gets totaled until it can be fixed, AND offer 4 uses of roadside assistance per year.
BELAIRDIRECT IS THE GOAT!!!!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
Some of the agents are super incompetent and they straight up lie regarding the policy and the pricing. I had a terrible experience with them and I'm never going back
Belair retroactively altered my insurance policy, increasing fees and adding conditions, even though there were no changes to the house they've insured for years.
A representative was so professional and knowledgeable that I not only reinstated my insurance but also change my mind of switching over my insurance company for better rates upon my renewal. Thank you for working with the customer's needs and helping me to get back on the road with very good coverage.
If you have a good driving record in AB, you should pay around $110/month (women - $105/month and men - $113/month). Do you overpay? Get an Alberta car insurance quote to start saving.
Belair's adjustor handled my claim in a clear, calm, reassuring manner, reducing the stress I felt after 'hit and run' damage to my new Lexus. Coverage included a rental car which was most helpful given the time it took to repair the car.
It was my first experience having to deal with an insurance claim and the process was fairly convenient. However, since many people are like me, first-time accidents, it would be better to break things down further for the likes of us and assure we are given the information that reduces the stress of having to deal with this unwanted incident. The reason for mentioning this is because at first call, I was told I don't have a rental coverage for my car and I was panicking to get a car and get on with my life, and later when the claim was processed I was told that my rental has been arranged by my insurance because I wasn't at fault which was a big relief. In summary, I would have expected to have this information first hand.
I looked to adding a second ATV to my policy which they already insured one. They said the value was too high and the engine size too large and they refused to help. I have had a claim with them before and it was easy and pleasant. No complaints there.
I was a car owner 4 years ago. I chose Belair because I knew their rates were supposed to be reasonable. I spoke to the sales staff at that time and they explained I could save money on my policy if I didn't take collision. The way they explained that to me was done so in such a way that I wouldn't have thought to take the collision option. I told them this was the first time I was getting insurance and that I needed help understanding. They just kept telling me it was cheaper and better to go without it. So fast forward to the present. Yesterday I got into an accident due to weather. My car hit ice and spun out of control. I rolled my car and landed upside down. I then find out I am not covered for ANYTHING by my insurance except for injury. I walked away totally fine physically, but my car was totalled. So after paying these people thousands for 4 years, and thinking I was covered for something like that, and then to find out that you aren't? It's deplorable. Help new car owners understand what these terms mean!

Former Grey Power client. I was on a monthly payment plan. When I got my new policy documents from Grey Power I called to say I just wanted lump sum because of the new surcharge for monthly. Then Grey Power rolled over to BelAir. Didn't think it would be a big deal but was in for a surprise this month to find BelAir has charged my visa for a month of both home and auto insurance one month my policy is set to renew. I called to get the charges reversed and was told the charges were for my previous year's policy - after 10 minutes of going through my policy info with the BelAir rep that was finally cleared up. Then he suggested the pre-payment could just be charged to my policy renewal. I told him I had no intention of pre-paying anything and had not decided if I would renew with them. I was promised the charges would be reversed. Just back from a week of holidays and still no reversal. Will see what happens with the next phone call but thus far I am not impressed with the way BelAir is doing business.
