Belairdirect Auto Insurance Reviews

I paid a sum of $3000 for my annual insurance which included the auto merit discounts. After 6 months my automerit insurance was withdrawn which meant I was owing an extra 160$. I feel stupid because, in the beginning, it seemed like a good deal but isn’t because you get roped into an app they control and they end up switching the app to withdraw your discount and then you pay the full price.

I have been with this company for several years and within that several years, I’ve had several problems.
Somehow they don’t save my credit card information so I would receive letters saying that my insurance was going to be cancelled. Recently I called them with my banking information to take the payments directly. The first time I called they told me I wasn’t able to do it that day because their computers weren’t working, the second time, all set up all good, then a month later I noticed the payment never came out so I call again. This time the person on the phone tells me yes everything is fine the payment will come out, surprise surprise I got a letter this month saying no payments insurance is going to be cancelled. I can’t say enough negative things about this company and I would not recommend them to anybody. Rates are also very high

We requested a quote and they were one of the lowest in the industry but the agent conveniently neglected to warn us of an annual interest rate of 3.39% on monthly payments. We were 2 payments in and checked the billing online to notice the additional interest fee but they refused to reimburse us. We were able to pay off the rest of the term in full and save ourselves the additional fee. Agent on the line claimed monthly interest was industry standard. We don't recall ever having to pay interest for monthly payments but we are rid of it now and got some points on our credit card for the one-time payment too.

We have only one company in our town that replaces windshields, I got a claim number, went to the installer, I was told that Belairdirect will only pay for a portion of the cost if I want the window replaced I will have to pay the difference, I called Belair and was told they only pay what they think it is worth! Other insurers pay the industry-standard price, Belair pays 100.00 less! As the company's representative said take it or leave it. I choose to never deal with Belairdirect again and will do all I can to discourage anyone I know from dealing with them

I’ve been a customer for over 10 years. Their claims rep was awfully rude when speaking to me. I was not at fault in my claim. The rep ‘Rendl’ is always talking down to me as if he is angry. He is very short when responding and overall incredibly rude. Belairedirect has given me the worst experience I’ve ever had with ANY service I’ve ever paid for.

It took too long, came early and still not finished in 2 hours. Sales staff barely talked and poor customer service.

After a car accident that by police report I have zero faults from my side, finally been referred to a body shop to fix my car. I have been told that the bumper will be replaced and fixed probably with a new one to find out that it looks so fake. I was trying to contact the insurance company since with very poor customer service in terms of time commitment. After three days and everyday call and been promised of someone will call me back am still waiting with the body shop insisting on a good job that my 13 years old boy can see is a bad job!

From my personal experience never trust this company BELAIRDIRECT, I had been their customer for 21 years I just cancelled my policy with them. I found a way cheaper insurance. BLAIRDIRECT was charging me $136 a month for basic coverage, now I pay $72 a month with better coverage to my new insurance provider. Please, shop around and you will find a better insurance provider and way cheaper!

For 1 car Hyundai Elantra 2016 + home insurance for a total of .....wait 4 it....
275/month lmao this is the worst of the worst

After being with this company since 2015, I have nothing positive to say.
Two instances of them not billing me correctly. Two instances of them trying to cancel my insurance as a result without emailing or calling me. Not to mention terrible amounts I pay as someone who has never had an accident, ticket, anything, somehow I was paying 30$ more per month than my boyfriend who is with another company who has had an accident and several tickets.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Customer service very unwilling to help. Terrible experience
