I called to change my address and they increased my payment amounts. I was moving within my city - literally a few blocks away - and it went up $300!!
I switched just a few months ago because they were saving me money from my old company. Now I am paying MORE than I was paying before.
I will be CANCELLING my policy as soon as it is time for renewal.
HORRIBLE company
I thought Rogers was the worst one but I believe BelAirDirect managed to pass them... What a disaster ! First, they didn't do what they needed to do, 3 months later they blame me and try to cancel my policy with out letting me know. Unbelievable. I would be driving around thinking that I have insurance till a police officer pulls me over..

Only good things to say about Belair Direct
I was with Belair as my first insurer, it took the better part of a month and multiple calls to customer service to perform a simple address change, which despite entering into their online system (which only works so many times before it forces an update over the phone), still managed to get mis-entered multiple times when they re-issued the policy. Dealing with what seems to be a call center for insurance for a direct writer prompted me to move to a broker on renewal and not look back.
I have been with them for over 10 years. I have had claims and they were extremely helpful and accomodating. The service and administration was fantastic.
Well 13 years + have passed, 2 claims and I was very pleased with all the staff but I had to say goodbye (cancelled today) for home and auto, boat and travel trailer insurance. We have moved to the province of QC and Belair Direct QC is very different. I have transferred all to them except they do not cover travel trailers and there was only one that I could find to do a stand alone policy (not with the House). I would recommend the ON office to anyone and have been doing it for years. Keep up the good work!
