Had damage (about 6000.00$) occur beginning of November that the contract clearly states that it is covered. Put in the claim in November, they sent an evaluator and nothing after... and they only called back beginning of January. I called them 4 times in between and they never called back. So when they finally called me back to say they will not cover it, because the contract says it's not covered during winter time... well it's not winter, winter starts near the end of December by law, and I live in south of Quebec, so the temps in fall are warm, nothing like winter temps.. they responded "yes, but our lawyers say we have a great chance of winning so we are not covering it"... basically, if you want a good price and don't care if they will cover your home, they are for you

I had a few times claims, major water damages, they never came to clean it up.
trying to get reach them is difficult. and when they finally showed up, they decided that they are not covering. even though it does say so in the contract.
I am looking now to switch

I had a very bad experience with ssq home insurance. It took 6 months to get the check for a stolen bike. Even with a police report and pictures of the bike! At one point the closed our case without telling us! We had to call 10 times to do the followup. They do not call you and take alot of time for many experts to evaluate... Imagine for a home claim... This was just a bike and it took 6 months..
