Never again!

We had water damage at our property. We made a claim. The renewal came up shortly, they removed water damage coverage and the rates had increased over 50%. We could not go to market for a better rate because we had a pending claim. 6 months later we are still waiting to settle the claim. We are being bounced around from person to person. They are doing everything in their power to pay next to nothing. They want to do the minimal. Enough is enough. Will do whatever needed to settle the claim and then I will leave this disaster of a company and never look back. I am here to warn everyone to stay away.

Dropped me just like that !

After being with SSQ for about 8 years with no claims (Home or car), SSQ dropped me as a client for a stupid reason. I have been forced to pay for an office space in my home bcuz I have a PC. A PC that I use to pay bills, purchase on eBay, Amazon and plenty other places. So I buy stocks and sell them for personal use and maybe purchase something being liquidated and resell on Kijiji or eBay! So bcuz I resell an item or two for extra money all of the sudden I'm a Big time merchandiser according to their rules! (They categorized me in their records as that, to which they cancelled my insurance and will not renew a week before renewal.) I'm on a temporary work pension and the extra cash is always needed, I never asked them to insure any product, so why am I breaking any rules ?? I was paying $22 a year to have a home office to use a PC for personal banking ... Ask questions before accepting a contract. My New insurance company allows all that! That SSQ denied me and I don't have to pay $22 a year extra. Your Loss, SSQ, and I will take all my friends and family away from you before next renewal...
