It is very difficult to get hold of them. At least answer the phone!
The body shop staff also told me that they were the worst insurance company.

I just got a renewal for my vehicle and it showed that the price has gone up by over 30$. I decided to give them a call before I start to look for another company. This lady from a customer service answers my call and the way she was talking to me was very unacceptable. She was being very rude and unhelpful. When I asked her why she was rude to me, she said that she is doing that because I am being rude to her!:) What a professional lady she was. When I inquired to speak to her manager, she said there is no way she can facilitate that for me and there is basically no one for me to complain about the “good service” she has provided for me!!! What a good company to have a business with! Would never recommend them to anyone!!!!

I very highly discourage anyone from going with Aviva for insurance. They will give you the run around if you ever have a claim regardless if you're at fault or not. I'm 2 weeks into my not-at-fault accident and they won't even start the claim until I speak to an adjuster, yet he won't respond to my 3 voicemails and email and when I talk to another adjuster after being on hold for 52 minutes every time I call, they change their story. I have 2 house policies and a vehicle with them and they are zero help. As soon as this is taken care of, I'm cancelling all policies with them and will never use them again. Be very aware and do your research on companies before jumping into any agreements with any company. All they want is a paycheck with no service.

I really do miss RBC, Aviva is a horrible replacement. I wait on hold for over 1.5 hrs and still don't get the help I'm calling for. I have never waited on hold for so long. When I call anywhere else and there is no actual reason why I'm on hold for so long, it's ridiculous and maddening. Definitely need some better customer service reps

I wanted to make a change to my policy, the phone line hold time on the message was over one and a half hours. I waited on hold because I really needed to make the change to my policy. Finally, after an hour and 45 minutes, I hung up and called another insurer, who quoted less than I was paying and whose operators picked up the phone in less than five minutes. Communication is imperative in a service business, I would hate to think what I would have to do to make a claim.

Worst company to get insurance with. I updated my credit card for both property and auto monthly deduction, they updated it for property but never updated for auto and kept charging the previous card and then cancelled my policy on payment after hours-long multiple calls, transfer from department to another and waiting on hold for hours. They asked me to pay the backlog once, which I did. Still, they never reinstated my policy and offered me a new one with double rate ..and still, my history is scarred by CANCELLATION DUE TO NON-PAYMENT which was actually CANCELLATION DUE TO NON-CHARGING but they don’t hold any responsibility for their lack of update on my provided account. Very improper and unprofessional .. I guess they don’t care about customers at all, all they think about is money-making ...worst experience

They charge me 420.00$ a month for insurance. I went to other companies for quotes and it was all in the 250.00-300.00$ mark... so I tried to cancel my insurance the day before it was set to renew (didn't know it auto-renews...), so they didn't answer and I sat on the phone for 2 hours waiting for a rep. By then I had to work, of course, they were closed for the weekend. So, Monday morning 8:30 am when they opened, I called to cancel... 308.00$ to cancel because they "insured" me for 3 days. They were rude, ignorant, and refused to send me my policy information and refused to let me speak to a supervisor. Absolutely will not be recommending them or going back to them. My 7 family members will also not be renewing with them. I recommend you do the same or Don't Even start with them. Nasty, nasty "people."

Aviva auto insurance is one of the worst insurance I have ever seen in my life. A bunch of idiots are running the insurance company. Their main aim is to ditch the customers in all aspects and always want to screw the customers keeping notes. Which they usually do. For me, they left a note in my license history that I was involved an at-fault accident. Even though I went to the court and I won the case, they didn't remove it. So when I called them and enquire about the issue, they are not willing to listen to anything and told me that they don't care about the court and they have their own policies how to suck money from the customer.

Noticed on my automatic billing from my credit card that I was double billed from Aviva insurance. I phoned them and wasted my time to find out that after having insurance with them for many years that now I have to pay ahead and that's what the double charge was for. So I had to phone them to find that out because there was no prior notification of such a thing. This is disgusting customer service practice.

Aviva is the worst car insurance company. These people are so unprofessional it's embarrassing. I have a 2013 BMW and these people told the body shop to put aftermarket parts on my car. After finding out they are aftermarket, I repeatedly called them and still have not received an answer! They didn't even tell me it's going to be aftermarket. This is my car, not yours, I have the right to know what will be going on with it. I pay top dollar to drive a top dollar car and he doesn't have any say on what type of parts go on my car. What are they doing in there offices if they can't answer the phone! YOU HAVE ONE JOB!!!!! It's been 3 days now and still nothing. My broker is helping me but this is the adjuster's problem, not my broker !!!
