Avoid at all cost!

I call to add a second vehicle to my policy and instead of being happy with more of my money, they treated me with disrespect, complete lack of professionalism and manners, no good faith trust in the customer whatsoever, I am switching to another insurance company, they are not getting my money ever again, oh and my sister is switching policy too to another company too.

Absolutely Terrible!

My wife had a very traumatic car accident in which another driver ran a red light. Our 5 day old vehicle was subsequently written off. The adjuster assigned to the claim was horrible and outright lied to us throughout the process. After harassing Aviva to move the claim along, we were offered $7,000 less than we paid for the vehicle - standard insurance 101 practice. As a result, I wrote a lengthy email and cc'd everyone I could at Aviva. Not surprisingly, I immediately received a call advising the first offer was the result of a 'mathematical error' (aka fishing expedition). Long story short, we finally received the full value of our 5 day old car, for a zero fault accident, after Aviva lied to us, stalled the claim and low balled the offer. I now truly understand why no one likes insurance companies.

Had to keep calling in

Terrible customer service, I had to call them 3 times to make a change, then they screwed it up still! I am on hold right now waiting to change their error....again!

Really bad costumer service

We had no fault accident and it has been a nightmare trying to deal with this guys. Left dozens of messages and no one ever call us back. Now we are stuck with one vehicle, juggling family of five. Definitely not going to renew with this company.

The worst Insurance company

Had them for 10 years. The first claim on my ten yrs was a horrible experience. Switch over to SONNET Insurance, it's the Rolls Royce of Insurance companies

Terrible

I've only been with this company for a month and a half my car payment is $137.97 and in this month and a half they have taken $426 dollars out of my bank account. Unauthorized payments. Then on the phone the representative said they may not be able to refund my money that they were unauthorized to take. I am livid. And if anyone needs insurance stay away from Sharp and Aviva Insurance!

Terrible !!!!!

Aviva has a claim against my policy that I did not authorize!!! A broker, who I do not deal with has filed a claim & Aviva has accepted, and it is not for myself. Aviva responds with a letter suggesting I make a claim or it will be closed. Why would anyone make a claim when any damage is below their deductible. Thanks Aviva
My problem is "How does a broker (not my broker) make a claim with your insurance company, when NO information was given to them - ever." Aviva policy is guilty - not hassle free.
Move on ASAP!!!!!!!

deny coverage

One of the top biggest scam company on the universe, worst customer service by hiring also crocks agents to investigations. No trust in customers whatsoever. Insurance companies are supposed to treat policy holders with utmost good faith but them they have utmost bad faith. Just briefly, I have a damaged boat that is covered under any type of collision and they spent over 6 months to tell me that I didn't have insurance coverage because i didn't provide an appraisal for my boat at the time when I insured it. My broker said to me that since your boat is not older than 20 years, so that they shouldn't have asked for one. I know that they are playing me those crooks. The comments on this website and other web pages appear to be real experience of innocent people like me and you. I won't stop watch this happening to my boat which is worth over $30,000 dollar and I'm going to sue this company. They deny coverage to almost anyone they want to and they hope that they get away with it. I encourage anyone who has a problem like me to hire a paralegal for less cost and FIGHT them. Don't leave them alone because this company should really close down and not to operate anymore because it doesn't serve the consumers fairly. I paid them insurance premiums for 5 months and at the end they just returned all the premium saying I didn't have coverage, seriously!!!!

NO to RBC AVIVA insurance

I had an accident on Jan 5 with my 2008 BMW M3... While I was traveling on a highway a flying piece of metal from a truck in front of me hit the front of my car and, as I panicked, I lost control of my rear wheel drive car and hit a concrete barrier on the highway... When I called the insurance to report the claim, the person on the phone has never told me that I had to report this accident to police... Two weeks later an estimator looked at the car and decided it's a write-off. Then, a week later, they called me and said that I haven’t got a police report and they decided it's a single car collision... I'm still fighting with this crooks and scammers... Also, they reduced the car value and up to today I haven't received my cheque. And they took away the rental... Without a car for the last 17 days… I wish, I could have read other reviews here before I called RBC Aviva to purchase insurance with them ... Don’t get insurance with RBC Aviva!!!!

I wish I could give negative stars. How anyone has ever had a good experience with these people is completely beyond me. I've been with this company since I was old enough to drive, and the second you're in an accident (that's not your fault) please expect the absolute worst outcome. The dishonesty of the adjusters is mind-blowing. I can't even possibly describe the emotional trauma I've suffered from these people. They'll threaten you if you don't sign things on their watch, but when you submit the mountains of paperwork, see specialists, pay fees for those specialists to fill out more mountains of paper, and you comply with their "independent medical assessment" to try to counter your specialists, expect to only get half the treatment you're entitled to, if at all. By this point, you're so frustrated and still not better because you've waiting six months to get medical treatment approved. Expect to wait weeks, maybe even months for them to figure out what they're going to do with your car. If it's a total loss, expect to not get enough money to put a down payment on a new car. Also expect to find a new car in less than 72 hours after they give you a dollar figure, because they're going to yank the rental car out from under your feet (that's if they even gave you one at all). They'll bombard you with insurance jargon, threaten you, and use any little detail they can to deny you coverage or treatment. It doesn't matter how many doctors you've seen, how much evidence you have for what's happening to you, they will do everything on their own watch and at the advice of underqualified family doctors with little to no experience. It is a total nightmare. Hopefully you don't develop a psychiatric condition from the stress and anxiety you're sure to have every single time you hear your adjuster's name. Your first call when you get into an accident should be to a lawyer before you even open a claim with these crooks. As soon as my two year ordeal with them is over, I'll be switching insurance companies.
