Extremely Bad Service Now

by Paul a Senior on Oct 5, 2020
1 out of 5 stars

I have been a customer for 40 years. Like someone else said on here they now provide an extremely poor service level. I sold my home and tried to cancel online. It gives me a confirmation number but the 2 people I spoke to at TD couldn't see it after I waited 1 hour on hold. I called 2 previous times over the past 5 days and hung up after about 35 minutes. After all this, they want to charge me a cancellation fee? Do they think I should pay a premium on a house I do not own anymore?

Old web systems, old IVR phone prompt & holds systems,
... and a 2 hr 30 min hold time, then somehow routed to the wrong province and had to wait another 15 min!!!

I'm switching once I have some free time.

No way to make online account

I signed up for TD insurance 2 months ago for my new home insurance. I was told I will receive instructions about how to access the online account. I never received those. I tried making a new account on myinsurance.tdinsurance.com, which takes my information and simply says: "Please call us at 1-877-585-9427 so we can update your profile and finish setting up your MyInsurance account." TD has been charging my credit card on the 1st of every month, so clearly, the insurance policy should be set up. However, they are not giving me access to my online account. And the call wait hours are terrible - I had to disconnect the call after 2.5 hours of waiting!!!

no response at all

TD INSURANCE CLAIM is worst experience, never ever recommend to someone. Recently with Calgary hail tried to make claim, waited for 3 hrs and 26 mins and after that got someone on call, raised the claim number with the promise that i will receive call back within 24 to 48 hrs but no response till now after 72 hours. Trying to log in through online all in vain, called their call center they simply say we are helping TD BANK ACCOUNTS and this one is 3rd part vendor so you have to talk to them directly. It seems like a big scam of this big bank by making fool of people by believing you are dealing with TD but in actual they are just enjoying their part of income from 3rd party vendor and don't bother about their clients at all. WORST EVER EXPERIENCE WITH THEM, I WISH I COULD HAVE GIVEN THEM 0 STARS :(

Can't go into a TD Bank and talk to a representative. Online doesn't always work. I can't get proper statements or withheld documents of payments... Horrible experience!

Horrible system and bad staff

1) I got locked out of my TD account because they require 2-step verification but I got a new phone and there were zero methods to use another login option

2) When I called to get the access they said my card had expired but realized I'd never been sent a new one because the person who put my address input it wrong... so they said the only way I could get access was to go into a branch in person

3) When I went to the branch in person, they gave me a new access card but completely screwed up the process so the new card wasn't linked to my account so I had to call the help center AGAIN

4) The agent said she would send an inquiry to the tech team but said they would have no way to contact me when they could link my access card so what the hell was even the point. Instead, she just gave me a username and password so no my account doesn't even be logged in with the access card so I don't even need one

Stupidest experience of my life. Not worth the hassle.

Don't go near TD insurance

My building policy was changed, I tried to call TD insurance and get a hold of them. However, I have had the most frustrating call experience. On the first day, I was on the call for 1.5 hours and they hung up on me. On the second day, I was on the phone again for 1 hour and no result again. On the third day, I was on the phone for nearly 2 hours and no response again. So, I tried to call TD bank instead and complain about my experience. They finally transferred me to an agent and the agent told me she will call me in 24-48 hours with a new quote. A week is passed and no one called me. So, I tried their online chat this time. I was waiting for 1.5 hours until it is my turn and the agent told me he cannot get access to my account unless I am registered via MyInsurance. I tried to register and faced an error that you need to call this toll free number I have been calling for the past few days. The agent basically refused to help me and referred me to the call that none responded. I honestly want to cancel my insurance and there is no way to get a hold of someone to at least cancel the insurance. Worst insurance ever...
