Poor customer service

I have been insuring with Allstate for about 65 years. During that time, I have had complaints, but nothing serious. However, over the past three weeks, I have had situations that have caused me to think seriously about looking for another carrier.
I have been dealing with the Allstate offices and their customer service has, all but disappeared.
Within the last month, my auto insurance came due and I like to pay my bills directly with their office. However, when I went there. There was no one there to take my payment. I purposely went there a good deal after lunch so as not to interfere with anyone’s lunch time, but was told by the manager that there was no one available as the person responsible was having her lunch. This is the first time that the branches manager has refused to help me and told me to come back at another time.
When I returned the next day, it took them about five minutes to find some one who could help me.
In previous years, the receptionist, was always there and took care of me within a couple of minutes.
A week after the above incident, my wife misplaced her pink insurance slip so I went to the Allstate office at about 3:20 p.m. to get a replacement. When I explained what I needed, I was told to have a seat and she would look after me in about five minutes. There were already two other people seated there, so I accepted the situation.
During the time I was waiting, another couple approached the receptionist. I have no idea what their needs were, but they were told to have a seat. Since the was only one seat left, they chose to stand and wait.
The couple stood and waited for about six minutes before I could hear them mumble that the wait was ridiculous so they left.
I was told to wait about five minutes, but when I had been sitting for more than ten minutes, I got up to leave. As I was heading out, I commented that I believed that I had been waiting long enough. I received no reply from the receptionist so I left.
I am now looking to change carriers.

Very unprofessional

I was a good client for years. Always paid on time but I recently went through a medical trauma and was unable to pay one time on time and I was removed. I paid the remainder of my fee soon after and they said I could get back in but after several calls to them I was told that I was not accepted. I waited months to hear from them and they couldn’t be bothered to tell me. I would never recommend this terrible insurance company.

Avoid this insurance

I set up auto payment with a credit card. Forget to update the expiration date of the card. Allstate charged a $50 penalty for service fee per transaction. ( I have an auto and home with Allstate).

I emailed Allstate the day that the credit card payment was declined. Also called them right away and informed them not to worry only to have a letter to charge me $50 extra a week later.

Sweet.

What Customer Service?

I called Allstate twice and was sent in circles. I was told to email. That got no response. What they don't tell you when you get your renewal letter is... Even if you cancel in writing before the renewal date, they will still take your money and you have to wait at least two weeks to get it back! My insurance was renewed in September, got my renewal in the mail less than a month before my renewal date. I canceled right away and was told it didn't matter the payment was scheduled two months before my renewal date in July...

Liars and thieves

They give the wrong information!
Should I pay for insurance full G license for 320 dollars!!! That's insane...
I paid for 2 months 657$ and the agent told me that I will be refunded when I cancel the policy and now they ask to pay more...
Is that possible to give you zero stars? I will give you less than that... Very pessimist service!

To be honest, we don’t offer this plan anymore!

Put me on pay 4 months in advance every 2 months, after being on a monthly plan for years! I contacted them asking “why they go ahead and decided and this plan would be acceptable to me?!” Then the response I received was “ there was a glitch and they don’t offer this kind of plan any longer!” So I paid for 4 months then I received another bill for the second part asking me to pay for additional 4 months in advance! So, I paid for the month that was due, then since they are slippery they sent back the payment via cheque citing the payment was late and they wanted me to pay for a plan that they “ no longer have!”
This is one company that I do not endorse, they are also involved in violating privacy laws!

Not worth!

I am 8 months with Allstate, got a quote for 1936$ signed it and received a bill for 2105$ (1)!
I changed my address before it, my advisor said - you receive a refund. However, after that, he said no refund (2)!
I asked - can I cancel my policy, how much shall I pay penalty? And advisor said around a one-month premium. I requested cancellation, he wrote me - you may lose your 4 months premium (3)
And there are more and more and more :(
I cancelled it but expect trust, not money... I was a respectful client always but when I asked the reason for such behavior, I expect the company advisor to remain respectful with me but he was not...

Horrible

These people are absolutely horrible to deal with. Not a single person actually cares and is willing to go above answering a phone call under the circumstances. I cancelled my policy with them and they still kept taking money out of my account for renewal. Like really? I did everything that they requested me to do and afterword they started telling me more and more about their “policy” now I’m not going to get a refund for another 15 days... I will NEVER EVER insure with them again.

Won't work with you at all

Customers for 3 years just at this address. Called when the bank was having issues to hold payment until it was fixed, told nothing they could do and we'd have to stop it on our end to avoid fees with the bank. Put on a 10 day stop payment until the bank issue was fixed. Called back to see if they could take out double payment next time, nope have to pay it. Called when the bank was fixed, told because of stop payment we had to pay the full balance for the year. Explained situation and that we had called before it happened and tried to take care of it, still told to pay for the full year or be cancelled. Not willing to work with their customers at all, give advice that they screw you over with, plus they want to charge us a $50 fee for each time they tried to take the payment out of the bank after we told them not to. Avoid at all costs! Nothing but a headache and poor customer service. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Poo client care

I was in an accident last year in which I was injured and still to this day am. It's been a constant fight to get income replacement benefits or proper funding for services needed for recovery which is now getting worse due to nobody properly doing their jobs. The adjusters drag everything and everyone to the breaking point. Really only there to take your money and when you need the help because of someone else negligence it's a long hard fight. After 16 1/2 years, I won't be returning. Allstate is by far the worst.
