Avoid this company to save your mental health

I received a bill related to my auto accident and I sent the info to my adjuster the same day. I did not hear back at all for 9 days, in which I left emails and a voicemail. The bill was due the next day, so I called in to the generic line and let them know my situation. They were able to get a hold of the adjuster while I was on hold within minutes. I then sent the details to the person I spoke with on the phone, and they sorted it out, not my adjuster. My adjuster then wanted me to call in to the payee of the bill to let them know why the payment is going to be late when it was 100% on their fault.
I received a different bill after the above situation. I sent to my adjuster the same day. Once again, I did not hear from them at all. I put in a complaint after 6 days of not hearing back to complain about the first situation along with this one. The customer care got back to me within 1 day, but I still did not hear back from my adjuster. I then heard back from my adjuster the next day (8 days after my initial email) which I can only assume was because of the complaint.
They say adjusters should reply within 24-48 hours. This is not the case. My adjuster literally did not return any communication until I sent a complaint in, and that was on the 2nd occasion of them not returning an email or call.
When I asked to see if they could provide anything for the complete lack of communication, they referred me to the ombudsman, which this clearly does not apply. The adjuster obviously doesn't care about their clients if they couldn't take a few minutes to let me know they've received the information I sent them. I've been a customer for ~13 years and will be changing insurance companies.
Very poor customer service. You’re lucky to hear from them once a week, dragging the situation out and absolutely low ball you. They sell you 1500 in car rental but can’t use it all cause as soon as they send you an offer they end all outgoing money in one week. Even if you’re unsatisfied. They also make it so hard to get a hold of that you just run out of time to settle. I run a business and will be sharing my experience with all business platforms that I am a part of so they don’t have my experience.
This company is not worth your time of day. Do not insure your vehicle with them. They happily take your money and provide you with little to no customer service. Communication is horrible, the adjusters have absolutely no idea what they’re talking about, they love to ignore your emails. They deny as much as possible and do not want to be accountable for anything. I have nothing good to say about this really disgusting company.
Still no settlement. It's been 210 days since accident. Unbelievable.
Voice-mail, email no response. No one at aviva seems to care.
They never get back to you email or phone. If they ever do get back to you they try to blame you and will try to avoid helping you in any way. No humanity or compassion. They will have no problem taking your money but will avoid any responsibilty on their part. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!
Did you know that on average Ontario drivers with good driving records pay $1,805/year in auto insurance? Is your insurance rate higher? Get a free car insurance quote and start saving today.
I was T-boned by another car a day before I was going for my vacation to visit India. I gave them all the required information and files the claim right away. But since I was not going to be in Canada for a month, I gave my father in law the authorization to act on my behalf. They told me the insurance adjuster will contact my father in law next day, but she called him after a week and said she needed my authorization by call to make my father in law deal with the insurance. I called them from India, the call waiting was about half an hour, just to go to her voice mail saying that she is on her vacation for two weeks, meanwhile no one was assigned for my case. I had to disconnect and call again to talk to another adjuster, I had to repeat everything about my case because they said they don't have anything on file, then she told me she has everything she needs and will contact my father in law if she needs anything else, it's been three weeks and there has been no communication from them.
I have never had such a delay in resolving a claim before with my previous insurance company. I changed it because I was saving couple hundred dollars a year and now I regret changing! Please stay away from them, it's not worth stressing about. I'm on my vacation and it's been stressful dealing with them.
My experience dealing with Aviva has been awful. Getting set up wasn't an issue, and everything was fine until I actually had to call them for something.
To sort out something SO simple - which was to get a written email stating that "After cancellation, this customer paid his remaining balance" I had to speak with 6 reps. The first 3 hung up on me within 5 minutes of the call. The 4th rep was ok, but still had poor customer service, and sent me an email (not the email I asked for, just a photo copy of a debit receipt) however a grade-schooler could have written a better email, this is despite him being the easiest to understand of all the reps I spoke to. Eventually, 4 hours and 6 reps later, I gave up on my letter and I'll never get that time back.
I was able to sign up for insurance again with a local company, have everything said and done in literally 10 minutes. How can a small local company have such superior customer service to Aviva with a fraction of the resources? Well all reps are local, no automated robots to fight with before speaking to someone, no language barrier, no scammy feeling, no attitude, no hassle. Aviva is a nightmare, please save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!
There is a reason they have a 1 star rating!
If I could give them 0 stars, I would. The worst insurance company ever. The customer service is disorganized and unprofessional. The claims department is the slowest process and only creates more stress for their customers. I’d literally pay double or triple to insure myself anywhere else!!! Don’t waste your time or money here
Avoid avoid avoid! I used PC insurance and somehow the broker signed me up on Aviva. From day 1, it was one issue after another. From them missing my banking details (I set up auto-deposit) which I don't even know how it became possible since I provided a void check so no payment was withdrawn the first month. When someone called me she tried to patronize me claiming how they are going to be waving aside the NFS charge for me which I instantly reminded her that it can't be my fault when they had a void check and still managed to miss a number, this led to them rating my payment again and it went up from 254 to 274 and them billing me for 3 months claiming I needed to pay in advance. I should have cancelled the damned thing at that point. Upgrades my car 5 months down the line, called to get a quote and got a ridiculous amount in the $700 so I asked for it to be cancelled. The agent told me I'd either get a refund check or instructions on how to pay if I'm found owing, I figured I was going to get a refund since I paid in advance of one month and still had some days left in the month from my last payment. But nope, instead, I got a mail telling me they will be billing $266 directly from my bank. I wondered why that amount and why instead of getting their banking details as the agent claimed I was going to be billed directly. I called and spoke to an agent who claimed they'd review and get back to me within 2 days. I never heard from any agent no Aviva till they took my money some days ago. Please avoid this company, either their agents aren't knowledgeable or they outrightly lie to meet their sales target. They don't care about their customers and are only interested in taking and taking from you.

This Aviva car insurance is such a waste. I had an accident and I requested for claim. It’s been more than 4 weeks now, and they are not giving any decision on the claim. Adjuster is not answering the call and even not properly responding back to the emails. To the every single email you send them she would just send you a statement “your claim is still under review we don’t know if we are going to accept it or deny it” this is a clear mental harassment. I have my car in storage with repair shop and I have rental car with me. If you want to save your mental health don't go with Aviva.
