Loyal customer, 25+ years of a clean driving record and payment always on time. Belair Direct gave me two weeks to find another insurance provider after they cancelled my policy September 2, 2026. Why? Because I called asking what insurance would be for my son who had negative driving experiences (his doing). They took the information and came back and said that because he lived with me I was too high a liability for them to even insure me and I had 14 days to find something else. I did and haven't looked back. I then receive a letter in the mail from them threatening me with collections if I didn't pay the owing $11.33 from my cancelled policy...that they cancelled!!! I had to pay it to not have it sent to collections but only losing my mind on them.
You can make your own decisions. I don't leave reviews...good or bad. But I am so frustrated by this company that I just had to write this review. Their customer service is garbage and the one claim I had for my car they refused because of a technicality in me not having the coverage, which I did. Things happen for a reason and I know my review won't mean anything to these leaches. All I am thankful for is being as far away as humanly possible from Belair Direct.

Driving in Canada for almost 17 yrs and never met with an accident or had a ticket in all these years. Bel direct asked me to download their App to monitor my driving and close to completion period their mobile app suddenly does not work.
I re-installed and call their technical services but still did not get restored.
For renewal, as expected, they blamed me for not using the app for 3 months and increased my insurance by $33.

Waiting time is too long to get in contact with an agent, just to cancel my policy.
Agents keep redirecting me to different people to solve the same problem.

My husband's car was vandalized in the parking lot almost 3 weeks ago we have no car and they told us that their appraiser team was a week behind then told us on Thursday, June 29 or Friday, June 30 that an appraiser will be going to our shop on Tuesday, July 4th but now spoke to my husband today and told him that an appraiser was just signed to us. If you’re looking for an insurance company do not come to this one!

Cancelled my insurance with no warning. I called in as my payment came back (bank's fault) and the guy said he'll get back to me no call no email just happened to look on my app it said cancelled. I will never tell anyone to use these guys what a joke I was a 10+ client with no accidents.

Belairdirect has double charged my bank account for the last 3 months and when I call they’re telling me I have missed a payment. That’s weird because I've paid them over $700 in the last 2 months.
Last month I called because a call representative Ariel was trying to tell me I owed $600 which didn’t sound right. I called a week later since she was not a nice lady and was told $600 was to cancel my contract and $400 was what I owed. So she tried to get me to buy out my contract and said it would pay my bill and Belair is a thieve!
