Been with Intact for decades...

Several hours on the phone trying to figure out why they charged me another month after cancelling. Both Intact and their brokerage partner told me they do not know and I would have to contact the other group. Would never recommend to anyone.
It’s been a week and we are still waiting for the insurance adjuster to contact us. It’s been the most disappointing experience we’ve ever have had with insurance. We were rear ended, not our fault obviously, and this company totally has no regard for getting our car repaired or even an appraisal on repairs. We would never recommend this company to anyone.
I'm a private courier of 10 years in the Toronto area looking for a quote from Intact.
I am fully aware of the costs and qualifications for the insurance that I need to work so I went through the online vetting process, waited on hold for 20mins to be told I don't qualify because I deliver time-sensitive packages! Isn't that our job description??!
'that is due by 5:00 pm today!' That shouldn't influence how I drive!
This is wrong, discriminatory and misleading!
A 1 star is way too high for Intact/Brokerlink. This company has a revolving door of rude, undertrained, and ill-equipped staff who are unable and unwilling to work with clients. Every interaction with this company was painful. For example, a simple address change took 5 associates, 6 follow-up phone calls, 10 emails and 4 months and they never got the address correct. When I cancelled my insurance they continued to charge for months after the cancellation. Multiple complaints and the "manager" that contacted me had no authority or ability to resolve the issues. Simply a brutal company with little regard for their customers.
I hadn't read reviews until now, thank goodness I didn't get insurance from Intact!! I requested an online quote and then followed up with a phone call. I provided my name & address, and reluctantly my birthdate. I said I just wanted a quote. I was told I needed to provide this information in order to "get to the next screen". I was then asked for the VIN for my vehicle. I said it's a long number and it wasn't necessary at this stage because I wasn't sure I would be purchasing insurance, right now I just wanted a quote. I then said I wasn't happy being asked this... I didn't raise my voice or say anything rude and was hung up on! No explanation, no clarification. Thanks to the customer service representative I didn't go any further!

Glad to see I'm not crazy, I got a 20% discount on a 1500$ car insurance, which my courtier assured me was the cheapest I could get, as long as I was registered to the MyDrive app, been trying to get it to work since I got it but to no avail.
Now they are saying that since we haven't successfully logged a drive that they want us to pay them the 20% back, which is hilarious and terribly suspicious on their part.
The discount was conditional on being registered to the App, not logging a drive.
Incredible to see how far they take their scams and lies.
Filing a report to Consumer Protection asap, no way I'm letting them get away with more of my money.
Very bad experience ever! I had rude customer service they give me a quote for the first month and the second month they change the price moreover $110 a month after all of this they charge me over $600 for cancelling fee. 100% scams company... Not very impressed with the customer service. In short, in one month because of them, it cost me $1500 “
I had a car accident in February 2021 and until now my car still not fixed (I don't have a car to go to work). But they still took money every month for this car. It's a terrible company...
I had a recent accident where I was rear-ended, they gave me incorrect information and I spent more than a week trying to get my car removed from the place they told me to store it, they lied and said they did not tell me to store my car there. The adjuster gave me a hard time and asked a lot of personal questions that had nothing to do with the accident, I spoke to the Senior Manager and he was rude and obnoxious. I was left without a car for weeks and I could not get to work. I had a mental breakdown and they still had me pay my premiums even though they had not fixed my car. Anyone looking for car insurance please do not go with this company they are tyrants.

This company is the worst insurance company I ever dealt with. Leave a message after message take weeks to answer back can never get the representative to answer the phone over a month now and not resolved. I was a victim of someone running thru a stop sign and ramming my car going to cost thousands of dollars over their second settlement offer to replace my three-year-old car...
Settlement Offer way below market value!
I have to provide comparable vehicles as the ones they give are not even close to my vehicle. They want to write off my car or if I keep and repair I have to take a low ball offer to pay parts and half labor but then I have to pay them scrap rate to keep the car. That is over 3,500.00 they want to claw back for something I paid over 32,000.00 for.
It such a rip-off co surprised a company that has been around as long as they have and treat clients this way unbelievable still in business! Never felt so much stress in my entire life.
